Great video. Just came back to warframe after years of not playing and needed a refresher on getting mutagen mass.

Thanks for the video. Worth mentioning if you have the Ripkas (Melee Weapon) and put on the Amalgam Ripkas True Steel mod for them it adds that 100% gore chance to your weapon of choice, allowing you to cut enemies into pieces with your Ignis that you were using in the video. this has an amazing synergy with Nekros. @@KoolaidFragger Nekros still works. The multiple cut up pieces yielding more loot does not. But I'm an open minded person. Show evidence that a single body cut into multiple pieces yields at least 2 health orbs and 2 loot-table rewards from a recent run and I'm convinced. Do note, even a completely destroyed body will yield loot from desecrate; Pointing this out to make sure that you don't mistakenly end up using that. Also note that two health orbs alone do not mean multiple rolls, as the loot-table itself can yield a health orb at times.

@@OzixiThrill You can compare the loot drops yourself, I am not going to prove anything to you when you are willing to argue so adamantly about something without putting in the effort to even read the wiki or just go try it yourself.

@@KoolaidFragger So, after a ridiculously thorough testing, turns out that I was indeed wrong. To an extent. Before this discussion, I have tested it several times after hearing the rumour, as I also heard conflicting information (some from the Wiki itself); And not once has it yielded more than the expected loot when I was paying attention to it. Considering that it's something that ought to happen over 25% of the time, I concluded that the people stating that it's been removed were right and the Wiki was out of date. But, being intellectually honest, I decided to spend 30 minutes to test wether or not I was wrong, and it wasn't until the time I was willing to spend on this was nearly up that anything even remotely resembling multiple pieces dropping more loot happened. Which meant that either I was having a year-long bad luck streak with Nekros, or something was weird. Then, after I noted that odd rate difference, I started taking notes; One extreme outlier (the moment I started noting things down, suddenly every split body was dropping twice as often, something that the previous few hundred I checked never did) and several more sensible tests later, I can definetly conclude that multiple parts don't operate the way normal bodies do; In short, while it does offer a hint more loot, getting double loot from an enemy is only about 2/3 as common of what could be expected. Granted, through my digging for information on the matter, I did also run into a far harder limitation that makes cutting bodies up useless (Desecrate has a limited number of bodies it can consume every second, not affected by anything), but that's besides the point; Though it might have been why I didn't care too much beyond my original dozen or so bodies checked.

I've got like a 100 weapons that only need mutagen mass, so this is very helpful, thank you. Edit: i need a total of 103 mutagen mass (i've already got 1 lol) to make all the weapons and the one sentinal...

There is another way, fortuna bounties can have them. It's mindlessly boring but you basically just do the 1st part, if you get 1 than do the 2nd, if you DON'T get 1 then you cancel the bounty by either leaving or starting the 2nd part then leave the area. Rinse and repeat...However mutagen mass seems to drop less then detonite and fieldron like by a lot so yeah.... enjoy

do u know what planet drops Mutagen Mass in rare loot boxes? ive found crafted fieldron and detonite but cannot find Mutagen Mass

Should be anywhere you commonly find infected. Problem is, they only have about a 1/5 chance of spawning in any given mission, and you'll likely have to search the whole map as they spawn in special breakable containers often hidden away (similar to caches).

What Warframe are you using in the beginning??
