I already have an account. However, it says that my account will be deactivated in June. Every time I try to access word or Excel it asks me to log in. What can I do?

I get this error. "We're sorry. We can't open the workbook in the browser because it uses these unsupported features:• Microsoft Excel 4.0 Macro Functions" How do I get around this?

If anyone is doing this from an apple computer, be sure to have the latest updated version of safari to able to complete the steps at 5:36 onward. I just had to do this on my MacBook Pro.

How to get the desktop version sir?

August 2024, It is not working for me. taking me to a screen where I need to buy office 365

I have installed Office 2016 on a MacBook and I have the key. I just want to activate without a Microsoft account. I heard you're the guy to ask.

The online version of Excel (and probably others) is not complete and is harder to use than the old office version!

So glad i saw this before I went and bought Office! 😊

Can you save your documents to your computer or are they only stored in the cloud? Can you still do things like save your word doc as a pdf (ie if someone requires you to convert it and sign your name on it once it is a pdf)? I’m currently paying almost £6 a month for my subscription but only use one or two of the apps occasionally. Is there a cheaper way? Many thanks, Nicola

You can do File | Save as | Download a copy In order to open it again, you would need to upload it to OneDrive.

does it include MS acess?

this is webbased do you have also windows 11 based?

What about printing docs, sending them to others or downloading a file you have created to your pc?

You can print from Office online, can share or email copies and can download files.

Please i already have Microsoft 2016 on my PC, if i try to download this now, will it automatically deactivate the 2016 or both will be on my system?

The free version is web based so won’t impact your desktop version. If you upgrade to a paid version that will be downloadable.

This is always free. Macros aren't supported. Copilot not supported. It's very limited in comparison to a native office suite. It's useless for me and tons of people. Macros are used everywhere where I work and any student places I visited.

Just web use only. Desktop use requires a license. The web version is super powerful.

I would wait and see what your university uses. Many of them will give you an academic plan that you can install on your laptop. This is free for everyone.
