Is a "spike" in your college application a general theme like you stated in 4:16 or a specific extracurricular?

I have a question, I go to a small private school, they don't have many sports teams and even if I was to do sports, I wouldn't be able to because of my bad shortness of breath which I get when I do very strenuous exercises. my question is if you have an idea of what I could do to instead.

sports isnt the only extracurricular, but make sure you dont say this stuff about no sports teams or shortness of breath in your application because 99% of times these arent valid excuses to not do sports

​@@CollegeVineCan I ask do us universities ask all degree I studied or just one degree? In my first ug degree due to medical issue I just had 3.1gpa but in other ug and masters degree I had 4 gpa

My daughter is one of the laziest people , I ever seen in my life . I have never seen her study , however she spends 10 hours a day on her laptop , playing games and teaching herself how to code, she has a 4.0 grade average before the AP class credits. I don't know how she will handle going to college because she actually has to study. I never got the chance to go to school due to bullying. Something I deeply regret.

@Sun I' m teaching myself . First Math . Starting with Algebra. I live in a camper full time for 3 years , with my physically disabled daughter. She is physically disabled but she is one of the smartest kids in her class. Don't let anything stand in your way. Not sure if you were being rhetorical or not. I never went to school.

@Sun I don't know. Art and design, coding. I would rather try and learn something new and change my life , than cry and whine about something.

@Sun If a person is not proactive in other areas of their lives , it won't matter how smart they really are , obtaining something is easy , maintaining it is hard. Excuse my poor grammar I didn't get a chance to go to school, since being bullied from the age of 5 in Kindergarten all the way up to 7th grade when I finally had enough of the abuse , I am still suffering because I didn't get a chance to go further in life and I was raised in the streets.

@Sun Whatever it takes , I just don't know where to start especially learning math. I keep watching videos I started with pre algebra. My daughter is in AP classes. But she is in regular algebra 2 and I can't help her with that. The other stuff I can help with because it only involves reading and memorization , which I have a problem with memory because of trauma from traumatic events that happened in my life.

i actually have a question. you said make sure that ur taking the highest level of subjects u can take like ap, or smth but my school doesnt offer those kind of things. im in malaysia and my school just has the basic subjects like bio, chem and physics so what do i do?

Hi! You just need to make sure you take the most rigorous courses available (colleges won't fault you for your school not having APs).

Hi, I want to study at Harvard university. If my ielts score is more than 8.0, and my sat/act scores are about 1500+/35, will I get accepted even if my gpa is about 2.33? Also, if I make too many social activities, if my essay and referance letters are so good, and if I take 3 AP classes, will I have a chance to top 10 US universities?

extracurriculars matters alot but so does academic grades.. your gpa might be too low but it's luck too. im figuring getting into harvard as well
