In my mind, trading is pretty much like playing chess If you can sacrifice a piece for 2, thats a good trade If you trade a 1 for 1 but you take a piece that has higher value depending on the situation, thats a good trade If you trade a 1 for 1 while you have piece advantage, thats a good trade

For new players reading just remember noting that depending on where you are on the map. For example a 2 for 1 trade near your base is amazing since it will be hard for the enemy team to regroup and push back, while on the flip side taking a 1 for 1 trade even if you can might not be the best idea near the enemy base's goal might not be as worthwhile compared to making a more coordinated push since the enemies can easily replace themselves within 10 seconds.

On the topic of Stealth Jump, in this game it no longer slows your jump down, but it's still always preferable to wear QSJ just because then the Stealth Jump will be even stronger

I love “trading” my own life for a whole wipeout as my aerospray teammate finds the 0.0001% of uninked home turf

Trade is good as long as you hold them back to slow down their push, and usually weaken their attempt to push or entirely make that single individual left needing to slow down for their team mate Just don't trade when your team mate aren't around, then you are simply over-extend the push to get picked

that's the problem with some players, they think that since they have control they can keep pushing up with pressure, instead of holding the ground they already have inked

Hey Dude I’m really appreciating these series and I feel like they’re helping me a lot! Congrats on the 100k subs! About the same amount of subs that hit me in the face in first 30 seconds of rainmaker or splat zones…. I’m wondering if you could make vids where people have sent in their replays and you watch them and give live feedback. It would be good to hear like what we’re doing wrong or what we should of done in a particular instant or just stuff like your aim is letting you down or movement or need to get better at squid rolling or whatever. Even other viewers who aren’t in the vid could get something out of it if they relate to some of the issues they see other players having. Thanks again for your content!

Some seriously good gameplay here. No over-extending, playing with the team, waiting to get picks before pushing up and dominating with map control while punishing opponents who don't paint and charge into enemy territory. Also knowing when to leave a bad situation with an escape plan in mind. Gameplay like this is what separates the better from the best. I noticed that Tetra got impatient and basically sacrificed himself by making a push despite being in the line of enemy fire.

Agreed with the Trizooka. I play Hydra and E-Liter alot, and I get Trizooka sniped alot. Gotta pay more attention to opponent specials.

Same, I shed a tear everytime I load into a match and I see 3-4 splatershots on the enemy team. Especially E-Liter, the second they see my laser they pull that thing out and obliterate me.

It's only fair lol, you guys are capable of taking us out in a single shot with your base weapon. I really struggle to splat the long range weapons.

Watching this really helps me keep in mind of these tips as I might use them to my best ability in Anarchy battles, I just need to play right to rank high enough!

One time I had a moment in S-rank splatzones where I ran into the enemy side of the field and had a 1v2 where for like 5 seconds no one was killing anyone somehow until a third guy stepped in and I died. I didn't take anyone with me but just the distraction allowed my team to take back the zone and hold on to it so I considered that a good trade haha

Hi Dude, I would love to see a video on how to control your mental state better. I always end up getting discouraged and playing worse after a few loses and then that turns into anger making me play worse. I think it would be very important to learn ways to cope with losses and control any built up anger.

Honestly the best advice i can give you is to take a break, play something else, go outside do anything to distract you from the game cause once the anger sets in there's nothing that will help you win matches. Trust me im in the same boat as you I just got to S+ and is very frustrating and tedious with awful weapon match making and players that simply never touched grass in their life.

i reccomend not going straight to controlling your anger but thinking of how to deal with being angry. everyones who isnt a therapist is just gonna say take breaks cause its just stepping away from the thing making you angry will make you less angry. the new ranked system helps a lot cause getting into point debt is something you can get out of, no need to care that much whenever i keep playing when im mad and dont wanna take a break i catch myself blaming other factors i cant control and just shift my focus to avoiding situations that make me lose. oh yeah squid school just made a video about this topic too

Biggest reason to not use stealth jump is those shoes like what are those

If you kill any backline with Respawn punisher you‘ve provided your team with a large window of time where the enemy is a man down. REMEMBER Respawn punisher works on the player wearing the gear as well as anyone they kill. If you want to maximize your value to the team as frontline, kill anyone with Respawn punish, and if you trade with anyone without it then you’ve provided a massive boon to your team and you can have fun.

Quick super jump is so free in this game. You don’t even need Stealth, if you have a backline just jump to them and you’re cutting off a lot of travel time during games. QSP only gets better the more backline your weapon is.

I love how multi-splats seem to be easier to get in Splat3, if I got multi-splats in 2 it was a big deal, now its a more regular thing, I'm ok now with not-so-good trades, cause when I respawn I'm taking out like 3 of them 🤣(btw I'm not trying to act super skilled, most of the time its accidental with a well placed suction bomb lol)

For a real answer, prioritize staying alive, even more than usual. Don't feed with them, it just allows the enemy to snowball harder. Hope your teammates make opportunities for you, because you know that they won't be taking any opportunities that you make. Also pray.

I have recently picked up the tri stringer and even tho I can get 15 kills and die very little it still feels like I cant effect the match as much as I would with other weapons like I was losing all of my recent matches even tho getting a good amount of kills. Any tips on how I can deal with that?

Kills are not that important in isolation. For example, if all your kills are just trading out teammates who push ahead. Or if you never move up to take the space you get from kills. Or if you only take the absolute safest positions to stay alive yourself, but it’s too far away from the objective to make a difference. Basically, you need to focus more on the objective (in Ranked, the actual objective, in Turf War, taking space). Make sure your teammates are able to push confidently, focus on keeping them alive. If you start to look at total team deaths as your metric of success instead of personal K/D, you’ll probably see a lot more success.

What Psynapseful said but also because Tri-Stringer is more of a backline support you are going to be relying on your team to take advantage of the support you provide. Sometimes your team just doesn't use the opportunities you give them very well. So analyze your matches, see if your kills and support were providing good opportunities for your team (letting them push ahead, keeping opponents away from crucial areas, etc) and if you were doing it right but you still lost, it was probably more of a problem with your teammates. If your kills weren't really accomplishing much towards the objective then try focusing more on helping your team out with that instead of just trying to splat people because you can.

I just want to say that that flingza's gear in game 2 is disgusting

personally i think for certain weapons (fast KO weapons, zipcaster weapons, and ink jet weapons) using drop roller is just as good if not better than stealth jump. i do think overall stealth jump is better because of how close you have to be to it but using carbon stamper ink brush or even sshot you can jump into fights with teammates and not only distract from the fight but also have help backlines like hydra or midlines like 96 win close range interactions.

That works sometimes, but at higher level play what usually happens if you jump into a busy area is that someone just drops a bomb on your landing spot. If they time it right, you don't even get a chance to roll away, it pops you as soon as you hit the ground.

The only weapons that drop roller is passable on is weapons with Ink Jet or Zipcaster. Other than that, Stealth Jump is always better.
