A corporate entity or a legal person will be considered a tax resident if the entity is established, formed, or recognized in the UAE (excluding a UAE branch registered by a foreign entity) or if the entity is considered a tax resident under other laws. A company established outside the UAE may still be considered a tax resident if managed and controlled in the country.
An individual will be a tax resident if their residence and principal interests are in the UAE; or if they have been present for 183 days or more in a consecutive 12‑month period. Tax residency also applies to UAE citizens, UAE residents, or GCC nationals with a permanent UAE residence, a job or business in the UAE, or who have been present for 90 days or more over a consecutive 12 months.
In this video, Irena, our assistant operations manager, shares all the details about 90 days of residency in Dubai.

They won't give you the tax certificate if you have not stayed for less than 180 days. My tax accountant says UAE tries to lure people into the country by selling them the 90day option but it has never been put into practice. I live in Dubai and no matter if you fulfill all the requirements they put on paper, a 180days stay is still the main rule.

If you the 90 days there does that only count for one tax year? Would you have to spend the 90 days there every year to remain a tax resident?

If you're using tax treaties to claim benefits in your home country while living in Dubai, whatever the treaty says will take precedent. If the treaty refers you to local laws, then the law that the UAE passed will apply but if the treaty defines the residence period for the UAE, then the treaty will apply (for example, in the treaty with India, it clearly says that you have to live in the UAE for 183 days to be considered a resident).

It's good country for Super Rich. I find it quite boring as temperature 🌡️ outside Its super hot 🥵 and inside it's cool🥶, concrete Jungle. Not good for all health groups. Renting is very costly and I not sure if 24*7 metro or bus services are active now a days.

@Sven Sulzmann IIt isn't about the select, it's about the few. This is for high and ultra high net worth individuals. It's for the wealthy. I think they do it public, just to prove it's a legal service Let's be honest, how many of us(KZread users) can afford the service? See, if it was about how to get a resident card while leaving illegally in some countries, you'll see the masses. I don't they expect to have a lot of viewers or subscribers because again, the service they provide is not for the majority, but for the few (Rich and ultra rich). I hope it makes sense. We're lucky to have this information for free as average KZread users. I don't say that to disrespect any one, it's just the reality.

@Sven Sulzmann well, I see what you mean, but the opinion of the common people doesn't make a difference. We're not the customers, so we don't have power. we can't afford their product/service, all we can do is to take advantage of the information that they're sharing and when some of us join the wealthy and the super wealthy club that we can know what to do. at this time, we'll be prospective customers. As a prospect , our opinions will matter. But, until then, let's just enjoy the ride. The free information. We can't try to bully a channel that produces free valuable information.

If you are thinking of working in Dubai as a hairstylist, you will need to apply to a hair salon to get a job and sponsor you for a UAE Residence Permit. The main disadvantage of this route is that you will have to leave the UAE within a few weeks if you lose your job and can’t find another job in another company that is willing to sponsor you for a UAE Residence Permit. Having your own Freezone Company in Dubai allows you to stay in the UAE for as long as you want provided that you renew your UAE Residence Permit on time every 2 years.

Then run for government in your country and propose a bill to end citizenship in your country. That's not the UAE's problem. Or if you don't like it, go where you're treated best.
