A tip for anybody that does this, when gel dries, it can get crunchy and if you dont want that, try putting some oil in your hair to try to avoid that.

I’m so glad I came across this video I just recently got all my hair chopped off into a twa ( teenie weenie afro ) and I’m already struggling to style it, as expected lol, but I heard curl sponges definitely help with natural curly hair, specifically short natural curly hair and after watching this convinced me to go buy one immediately! Great video!! I plan to try this on my little guys hair since it's pandemic time and he hasn't had a cut since March. Ppl your hair isn't nappy. It's tightly curled. All you have to do is get the right products wet your hair before adding the product and make sure it's detangled. Use warm water, a leave in conditioner, water, moisturizing creme, water, and then gel. Rub each product in before moving to the next. If you pull out a single strand of your hair you will see that it is curled up. It's not nappy, just tangled. Oh and gel has an alcohol agent in it, that's why you want to put a moisturizing creme or spray in it before the gel. I hope this helps.
