Textnow is great, and free, and for iPhone you don’t need to link to google voice, but you have to pay for talk time(ie incoming/outgoing calls vm etc) i have the fastest WiFi at home and have no issues with using the textfree WiFi number for text and internet. I can also connect to any other public WiFi(Chick-fil-A is always auto connect WiFi (no password) metro/cricket or any phone place..just ask for their passcode and you will automatically connect to their WiFi as long as you’re within range. Range and connectivity strength is pretty decent bc they’re cellular providers.

TL;DR would have to be you need to use a stupid garbage app that gives you a second number then you have to use that number when your service is dead. The best way to get cell service in a "dead" area is with wifi calling. Special phone and your carrier has to support it, but you get your phone calls your texts and can make calls and texts without a separate number. The best I have is call forwarding to textnow, then using textnow for all my texting needs. Sure it is still two numbers, but the only viable option I have as the Wifi phones MUST be bought from my provider. (IE the samsung galaxy 20 supports it, but you must buy it from the provider and not from say samsung, amazon, or even bestbuy) The providers in my area love having contracts, so they sell the phones out right for 4 sometimes even 5 times the price you would pay by being on a contract.

So this is April 2023 now, and I have Verizon plan Verizon phone. I don’t want to pay for Verizon any longer! Yes I can afford it but I don’t want it. I want to get rid of my cable and still have some type of Internet access, and I want to ditch cell phone service and use, and still have some type of Internet access to use Wi-Fi and magic jack. So here’s my question…… I have a Verizon cell phone it’s a cheap old phone bought it in 2018. I want to get rid of my Verizon phone service but keep my cell phone since it’s paid for. Know if I call Verizon and tell them I don’t I’m not taking your service anymore I don’t want it blah blah blah shut me off, will my phone still work for be able to get onto Wi-Fi or will Verizon just totally make my phone work doesn’t work at all? So how can I still use my cell phone I don’t need it for phone calls or text how can I still use my cell phone for searching the Internet and Wi-Fi but not have to pay the Verizon bill? And will my phone still work to do that on Wi-Fi? Thank you.❤

If you have inernet plus wifi you can use yorphone by wifi a off datstil can work with wifi only at home but for outsiehome you need data internet . Turn off internet data and turn on yor inter wifi to talk from home .

A little point regarding the introduction of this video... Some people, me, don't have a mobile because they don't want a mobile. I don't need one professionally, so I don't need one. I have no interest in a pointless electronic device and don't care to be contactable every second of the day! In future I don't think it's necessary to give excuses or create reasons why a person doesn't have a mobile. I know it's a strange concept in this day and age, with everyone obsessed with keeping up the perceived standard of society by owning every personal electronic device possible while sharing their money with as many corporations as they can. But that isn't everyone!
