    Superb video, Josh. Thank you. I would love to use this system, but frankly, it’s just too tall for the only place I can connect it. I need to use a system that has a height similar to the original Google wifi, the Google Nest or the TP link x60. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the video. Some great information covered!! Well done!

    Or show us the other 6e systems you reviewed because you claimed this was the best you tested. My Prime day $446 Wi-Fi 6e Eero system beats it imo also babe I know your house isn’t 9000 square feet so please test your 6e system in an actual home that it’s designed for

    I have the 2 year old version of their Mesh system and although it works well, the Orbi app is rubbish, constantly can’t see I’m connected to the network to manage it and I find the units really struggle going through brick walls- really drops its range. Major problem is they don’t support vlans.

    Thank you for the helpful video!! We currently have our Apple TV connected via Ethernet bc the wifi router was too far away. This also meant we had to get a long enough cable to reach the Apple TV. Would using this Orbi system allow our streaming device to work as quickly as it does with Ethernet?

  • @6MonthsLater

    @6MonthsLater

    Depending on what router you have it certainly could. But it also depends on what internet speeds you’re getting as well over wired. If you already get pretty slow speeds, going over Ethernet will probably still be the best experience.

    I am using netgear orbi mesh wifi RBR752. Most of the time i use my macbook in my room which is closer to the satellite. However, sometimes the macbook would connect to the main router despite there is a closer sallellite and the network become unstable as it is out of range from the main router. i dont see any solution online. Is there any suggestion?

    Hi we are planning to get a 5G Home Broadband which will come with a 5G SIM Router in one of the below models: HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro 2 ZTE MC8020 5G INDOOR CPE ZTE MC801A 5G INDOOR CPE OPPO 5G CPE T1a Linksys FGW3000 ZTE MC888 OPPO T2 TP-Link Deco X80-5G CPE. My question is if I can connect a Wifi Mesh system like Asus XT8 or Orbi RBKE963 to this 5G Router inorder to expand my coverage. Also whether connecting the Mesh Router to the 5G Sim Router using an Ethernet cable would be enough or whether we need to alter some settings in the either system.

    Contact your ISP, Just remember only one of the mesh systems OR ISP modem should do the routing, Either put the ISP modem in bridge/passthrough mode and set the mesh system as "router", Or disabled the radio of the modem and set the mesh as "Access point"

    I get you're videos are based on Wifi Mesh routers but you keep talking about routers vs wifi mesh routers and yet never compare the difference nor have you included discussion about them I've watched two videos from you that claimed to be about routers but it was mesh systems. Your confusing the two systems. They are not the same and there are differences. I spent time watching these videos only to get talks about Orbi...when I was directed to here under the direction it was about the difference between the mesh and traditional routers.
