Yes.

it's not possible to get lost gem back nowadays, i tried it but in the help section they've texted me that we added an extra features that will confirm you again for using gems so it's not recoverable your gems. I have lost it permanently.

I played this game way back 2013 and i still play it and still clean my base from the start tho im not active in upgrading and raising my trophies i just clean my base and try upgrading some of utilities when i have enough loots. And from just cleaning my base i have now 16k gems and i didn't use it because i dont know how to use it lol nor i dont want to use them
