So here's some post-game locations for evolution items: Protector - Route 228 (Top of the route) Razor Fang - Battle Park (The area where the battle tower is, at the bottom left among the bushes) Reaper Cloth - Route 229 (Behind a cut tree in the middle of the route) Upgrade - Eterna City (Talk to Prof Oak in bottom left house after getting the National Dex and meeting him at Ramanas Park) Dubious Disc - Route 225 (Surf across a large lake at the top of a hill in the middle of the route)

I got a metal coat on my second try for magnemites without even super luck but I have spent tons of hours on trying to get just one dusk stone with pickup and still haven’t gotten it...

You know the content is good when you know 98% of the information in the guide videos but still watch it anyway because Austin John is just a KZread God.

If you're playing Brilliant Diamond, where Moon Stones are very rare both pre- and post-nat dex, or otherwise prefer the thief method to mining, Cleffa and Clefairy in Mt. Coronet can carry Moon Stones for thieving. In the morning, go for Cleffa in the ground floor areas for a 25% encounter rate, and at other times go for Clefairy in the other floors for a 10% encounter rate.

I'm using Diamond in the beginning and have 13 Fire Stones, 10 Thunder Stones, 8 Sun stones, etc. and not a single moon stone...

Also: If you want the Metal coat and are around the 7th gym, in some of the rooms in the underground Bronzor starts to Spawn, they are normal spawns (not rare like Magnemite) so you can get multiple per room, and they too have a chance to have Metal Coat equipped. Learned it the hard way after already having mine 🤡

I still have your breath of the wild hoodie I bought several years ago. It is literally the comfiest thing I own, and now that winter is here I wear it every day on my walk to work and back. I don't know if you'll ever see this comment Austin, but if you do I hope it makes you smile :)

there's actually a razor fang in the small field with all the bushes right before you go into the battle tower, its in the very bottom left corner of it in a pokeball! just got it today, hope this helps anyone who doesnt want to spend 5 bp for one.

For those who see this, you can get the deep sea scale from wild relicanth on route 226 and the deep sea tooth from wild sharpedo and carvanha in their respective locations.

Some of the items in the battle tower are actually found in the wild as well. For example, the Protector (Rhyperior item) is found on route 228.

Shoutouts to austin for doing all this research and putting all this time into his videos for us. You're awesome Also I found the deepsea tooth in the south-west part of the grand underground but I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone.

For the metal coat, you should go after Bronzor instead of Magnemite. They are a lot more common than Magnemite in the underground, especially in ice caves.

I’ve gotten my metal coats off bonzor as they’re more common. For the oval stone it can be obtained from a vendor in the underground.

Thanks for the Absol Tip; happened to catch one earlier and got a magmarizer off the first Magby i found with it.

For the metal coat, I would recommend heading to Wayward Cave and leading the little girl out of the cave while trying to thief metal coats from Bronzor. Its infinite PP on Thief (from your double battle companion) and if you catch a Super Lucky Murkrow its a much faster method!

THANK YOU! Can’t find much reliable sources but I’ve gone mad trying to find Sun Stones (no luck SP). Can’t find Deep Sea Tooth but I shall look in all the frozen rooms again and now I know how to get a Dragon Scale. You rock!

You can find the razor fang at the frontier in the hedge maze like thing. Upgrade can be given to the player by Oak in a house after meeting him in Ramanas. Dubious Disk is the route above the fight area and you surf over water to an item.

For those who cant find an absol with super luck, a butterfree with compound eyes ability has the same effect

I played online in the underground and the counter reached 40 and I was able to get the sun stone, water stone and leaf stone almost immediately, so I’m guessing it helps immensely having 40 digletts

Quick correction about the Protector at 11:59. I believe there is one on route 228 past Ace Trainer Jose.

I knew this video existed for a moment there. I felt like I was going crazy looking for it again.

I wanted to share the fact that Bronzor also can carry metal coats, I've gotten like 5 of them whilst farming for an Elekid. In my personal opinion, I think Bronzor might have a higher chance to hold a metal coat than Magnemite, that could just be how my luck is though.

Protector and reaper cloth are both available outside of what you have listed. Theres a protector on the ground on the post game island and reaper cloth im unsure where I got but I have one and havnt done giratina yet so that's also available elsewhere

One of my favorite ways to get metal coat is actually from using thief on Bronzor in the underground. They're a lot more common than magnemite.

Back the day, I collected items in DP with a similar strategy. In the post-game area, you can find Frisk Banette, which can learn Thief. You can also pair that with a Butterfree/Nicada/Yanma with Compound Eyes. Compound Eyes increases the chances of encountering wild Pokemon holding items when the Pokemon is the first int he party, even if the Compound Eyes mon is fainted. So the strat was to have the Compound Eyes bug first and the Frisk/Thief Banette second. Intentionally let the bug faint and then starthunting items. It also helped if the Banette was high leveled and/or fast.

Superluck/Compound eyes as the lead pokemon fainted with second slot Frisk thief Banette I used it myself for anything I needed to farm from wild pokemon.

Razor fangs are available somewhere other than battle park. Ive evolved my gligar to gliscor but I havent done any battle park stuff. Maybe it was on a wild gligar I cant remember tbh

idk if its been said yet but Banette in the post game has frisk as its ability an can also learn thief making it a pretty good pokemon to do this with

If memory serves there is a third dawn stone you can find in the grand underground. I don't remember exactly where but I believe it was in one of the ice themed caves from the area you enter by going through snowpoint city (either that or it was the one icy cave where celestic town is).

Yeah, in a whiteout cave you find if u go underground from snowpoint gym. You can also use dawn stones on male kirlias

I found bronzor to be more common and to have the metal coat more often. Went in wanting 2 and came our with 5 from one room.

Banette in the post game has the Frisk ability and can learn thief via TM or Trick naturally at lvl 58. I don’t know if Absol would still be faster with the increased odds for the item tho

I got an oval stone digging in the underground at some point. I dont think it was during light stone, i was just digging for spheres

I found a scrap of reaper cloth in the post game battle park like route 229 or something. I used cut outside of thick grass but it was there

Damn, I got really lucky with my Dusk stone pickup. I wanted a Mismagius before Fantina, so I did the money farm while trying to get dusk stones the route south of the gym and got it first go from my 20 something Aipom.

Razor Fang and Dubious Disk can also be found on the routes leading to Mt Stark in postgame

There is an oval stone in the grand underground overworld as a pickup item I believe. Can't remember where exactly I picked it up at, but it was one of the bigger Forrest rooms

I was wondering, can you knock out, run away from the box legendary at the first encounter after fighting cyrus ( dialga / palkia on bdsp ) then shiny hunt them for post game?

Man the razor fang being post game only is disappointing imo. I have never used Gliscor in a run of the game and was super excited to be able to use him. I even caught a Gligar as soon as I could to use em

I found a reaper cloth east of the Battle Area in a pokeball. Haven't done the giratina stuff yet.

I don't remember where I was, but I found a piece of reaper cloth as an item on the ground when I was berry hunting. I believe it was still post game, (maybe on the route that is right of the fight area) but I know i was moving on a horizontal route and it was behind an HM gate, maybe cut?

A tip to know when your pokemon successful picks something up after battle is to have the team app open.

The superluck , and pick up ability is very useful. Got tons of electirizer

Just a quick fyi, razor fang is available in the overworld, right in front of the battle tower as is reaper cloth, on route 229 I believe

The protector is available in the overworld as well. On the Northernmost section of Route 228.

I found metal coats were a bit easier to find on Bronzors since it's not a rare encounter like Magnemite

I carry compoundeyes ability pokemon when farming items on wild pokemon. The overwold effect is (and i quote from serebii ability dex) "if the Pokémon is in the lead spot, chance of encountering a wild Pokémon holding an item increases". Add this with a thief capable pokemon and you're set for farming a lot better than frisk ability. I farmed a lot of electirizer and magmarizer with compoundeyes ability plus thief on pokemon shield.

@Austin SuperLuck doesnt work on Underground Pokemon because they are preset on entry to the area, hence why it took so long to get Metal Coat. Its better to farm the Bronzors on the bike route.

Regarding the Oval Stone in the underground, I picked one off the ground in one of the rooms, so that's probably what they meant by available underground

You also can get razor fang from Carvanha. It has a small chance to hold it when in the Underground

In my old Pearl game I had a Banette with Frisk - not a hidden ability, just one of the alternate abilities. I would give it Thief and just mug Chansey for their Lucky Eggs :)

If people are having trouble finding it, I found an Oval Stone in the Lost Tower on the second floor, playing Brillant Diamond. I realize the chart Austin shows is Grand Underground specific but this is just in case anyone is stuck.

It took me so long to get a metal coat for my Scyther but finally found one; so I’ve had a Scizor since gym 3

I had to farm a metal coat just after the second gym, so I chose my murkrow as my thief because it was thematic. Glad to know the little guy was actually the best possible choice!
