This is one of the freshest advice I've countered into. There are some parameters that you can control as an individual engineer and some that are uncontrollable. Once you accepted this, the attitude you have to have in this economy as an international junior engineer became a lot clearer.

Just came across your channel! Very insightful and you've gained a new subscriber :) I wanted to see if you could possibly make a video on CS grads who haven't been able to land a job. I graduated August 2022 and have only had about 5 interviews and I'm worried that the longer time goes on, the less my chances are landing an entry level role. Internships are for students, and entry level jobs send back a lot of rejection emails. I am currently advancing my skills and knowledge in full stack development and putting in the hours to make this a reality.

Hey, Is it possible for you to make a video for people in their mid-20s (or even older), who don't have a CS background, but are planning their journey to get into the tech industry? The dos and don'ts. What to look for and what to avoid, given that there is a wide range of resources online, one would get confused or even overwhelmed. Also would love to hear your experience interviewing candidates with no CS background. About myself - 25 yr old, bachelor's in Marine Engineering with Naval Architecture, and a Master's in Mechanical Engineering, currently working at an Offshore engineering company as a Design Engineer (almost 2 years now). I've been planning for a career change and looking to get my footing through the door.

Hey, thanks for the video. I have a question as I'm in my second to last year of a not so tech related bachelor's degree (psychology) but I'm extremely excited about AI and robotics so I'm taking steps towards acquiring skills and relevant experience before my degree is finished. However, I don't know whether I should be putting all of my focus on trying to get into a relevant masters degree for AI, or whether my time would be best spent trying to get some sort of relevant job once I'm done with university. I don't know whether it will make my life easier to have a relevant qualification or if in the grand scheme nobody is going to care and it will have been a waste of money. I would very much appreciate any thoughts on this matter, thank you! - Konan

Yes! Working at school is a great first step. I’d recommend getting as much hands on experience as possible. That’s the best way to get a real paying job outside of school eventually.
