Last week I talked about how working for a startup can essentially transform your life.
Today I want to talk about getting said job at a tech startup. Our team is coming up on 40 people now, which just blows my mind when I think about it.
There are two clear paths to working for a tech company. The first one is quite simple: be a developer. Engineers are so scarce these days- you are essentially guaranteed a job if you are a good developer. You’ll be treated to flexible hours, good salaries, and all the perks.
But how about the rest of the jobs at a company?

For the first time, a Slidebean video did not have a lot of views in the first 1 hour Great job, Caya! I recently got a UX job at an #AgeTech company. Excited!

Bro, where are you located please
Been hired by 3 VR startups so far, every time it was because of my social media presence. Once by my blog, twice by my twitter. I have a large body of open source/public work, and I can honestly say it’s made getting jobs easy. If your public stuff is impressive enough people reach out to you, and then you basically have the job before they interview you. I don’t know if I would recommend trying this method yourself, since I kind of did it by accident and coding consumes my life, but definitely something worth knowing about for others.
As usual, very informative!
Thanks for the info Caya. I was just writing an email for you about this haha
Exciting topic!

Also would like to know --- how to differentiate a "good" startup vs not-so-good-for-you startup" before getting hired. Maybe - Any metrics to look out for? Any red flags to avoid - founder is doing shady things in excel? 😅 Whatever keeps you interested and if that suits your audience. I'm glued in anyways. 🙌🏼

so what, just do it, I am working on my start up and I only spent 1$(75₹) that is only expenses, you can get so much freebies from y combinator startup school and that is open for everyone, find a tech co founder if you can't code, and start building that thing asap. don't wait for things to happened, just do it
