About a year ago, I accidentally netted a bass as a centimeter long fry, I mistook her for a "Least killifish" and put her in my community tank... About a month later, I realized what she was... A juvenile largemouth bass Now she is about two feet long ... and thriving in a pond.

@@ryanboscoe9670 Absolutely not lol you got some unrealistic expectations for sure. A largemouth bass will grow around 16 inches in 3 years. Not even slightly close to your 2 feet in a single year

he’s not dead but he’s gotta be extremely stressed. seems like he’s going in a new tank every week. almost like a bass isnt supposed to be kept in a fish tank or something, crazy

​@@tbs_death93123000 gal would be enough,but a pond would be far cheaper. If u wan't a tank that size u need to make sure ur homes is structure is Strong enough (a check is advisable at around 100gal upwards, depending how old the home is) and ur insurence should be able to cover damages from a leaking/broken tank. If he really likes the Bass, he should use the money he wastes on big Tanks (300gal like the one he has aren't cheap) on a pond thats far bigger than all the tanks he could buy and fit in his house.

Glad you r doin a tank upgrade. Guss needs it.

I would do an aquarium, but the hardest part would be cleaning it. Having to do a third of your water once a week pushes me towards having a Koi pond.

I currently have 2. A 75 gallon tank works for both but a 40 gallon is sufficient for a single rock bass for its entire life. They are pretty territorial, but they really bite my goldfish that's with them, so theyre not too aggressive. Mine currently love mealworms, superworms, blood worms, and minnows, and every once in a while I will treat them to a chicken gizzard. Overhangs are very important as they HAVE to have somewhere to hide, and from what i noticed, they are ambush hunters. You said buy or catch your own bass, not sure on all state laws, but I know in the handful I've lived in, it's actually illegal to buy or sell native species, not trying to be a jerk or anything just advising you check your local laws before proceeding, in the state I live in, Ms it is actually illegal to keep certain native species, like largemouth bass, love the videos, peace.

Tbis is super illegal in canada. Not sure th3 laws where you arent. But in canada we reapect out wild lifw and you arent allowed to take fish and keep them. Especially bass

@@BooBuKittyPhuk pretty sure in every state they have fishing regulations, some aren’t the same in every state, but in most cases theirs a size limit for bass, and it’s illegal no matter What, taking a fish out of its environment and putting into a tank, it’s illegal with bass, gar, bluegill, sunfish, rock bass, literally any fish that isn’t invasive, and wtf does me being a “child” have to do with anything, I’m 15 almost 16, definitely not a child, teenager, you can be mad all you want, but in this situation I am correct, and if I’m not please tell me how, I know for a fact it’s illegal to take any fish out of the wild and put it in a tank besides it being invasive, also he had a video of him catching Guss, from the wild, so it’s illegal, you might be older than me, but that doesn’t mean you know everything clearly😬😂
