I moved to NYC many years ago with only a few dollars in my pocket. One thing I found helpful, and what got me immediate work was registering with temp agencies, typically doing admin. It was much easier to get my foot in the door because it was usually a short-term assignment (many times it went long-term) and they were primarily concerned with computer skills, etc (and they did test on that). I did temp work for about 5 years and got offered so many on-staff jobs because the companies got to see how you worked (and you got a taste of the company)...and I finally accepted a job in advertising that moved beyond admin.

Thank you for this video! I wanted to add that it's completely normal if not required to put a photo on a resume in Austria. Maybe that is going to change though, as I am aware there a discussions regarding discrimination. I am more aware of that in regards to the actual names of people.
