Thanks for sharing!
I flew Turkish from the US to Nigeria last year and I was denied this hotel stay and I had to stay in the airport for almost 20 hours. My American green card didn't help so if you are not a US, UK or EU passport holder, don't even bother. I met a whole lot of Africans sleeping at the airport with no free wifi

Yes you’re indeed right. Having a green card, you will be required to get a Turkish visa in advance at the Turkish consulate to benefit from the free hotel
Hello! I've sent the e mail but they never reply to confirm 😢

Yes, I have benefited from the Turkish Airline Hotel and stop over-service. I made a video on my channel about my experiences (you can check it out). Nevertheless, I will share my highlights. This year, in April, on my trip to Vietnam, I had over 10 hours of layovers at Istanbul International Airport, both to and fro. On My way to Vietnam, because I was tired, I opted for the Free Hotel option. I used the directory at the airport to get to the Hotel Desk, did the necessary registration, and the airport shuttle took us to the hotel; we were given a pick-up time after drop-off - the pickup time worked in favor of the needed time to board my connecting flight. The hotel was very nice; I would give it a 9.5 out of 10. On my way back from Vietnam, I decided to opt for TourIstanbul (tourist in Istanbul), and this time, the 6-hour tour, again the drop-off time, was just right for me to board my connecting flight to my destination. On the tour, we were given breakfast and lunch. I would recommend any traveler who has over 10 hours of layover to explore the options available and enquire at the hotel desk inside the airport (Istanbul International Airport).

Yes, I have. On my way to and from Nigeria. I was using a US passport and got my Turkish visa ahead of the trip. The hotel was the Renaissance Polat. Transportation was also provided as the hotel was about 45 minutes away from the airport

Stop using any airline that's hostile to passengers and has complicated regulations. Stop going to countries that don't welcome you! There are always better alternatives. It's as easy as that.

Hmmm I personally have had great experiences with Turkish Airlines (having shared multiple flight reviews on them on my channel over the years). I don't think every airline has its own regulations and the onus is on you as a passenger to be aware of them (hence why I create my content to enlighten). But I do agree in general, that one should always go where respected - at the end of the day you are paying for it.

@@SassyFunke If my layover time is less than 12 hours and I have an economy class ticket, does Turkish Airlines sell passes for the biz class lounge so I can spend the few hours comfortably?
If you are carrying a Nigerian passport, just forget about getting a free

If you have a dual citizenship, you’ll likely to get it as getting a visa is much easier or you may not need a visa
Some airlines should be blacklisted from Nigeria Turkish airline, Egypt airline, Morocco airline, Ethiopian airlines. The worst among them is Egypt airlines, they're terrible racists, Wicked and narcissistic.
