Thanks for the tips. There’s nothing wrong with using synthetic fertilizer. The plants can’t tell the difference between synthetic and organic. All it see is n.p.k and minerals. The only difference is organic feeds the soil microbes which feeds the plant and synthetics is like instant steroids for the plants which is instantly available. Anyways. Thanks for all the top notch info on growing dragon fruit

As you I don`t care anymore if people become aggressive and or call me cheater. From Orchids to Monster Physalis or Passion fruit vines: Just use the Marry-Don`t-You-Anna fertilizer your local hippie uses for flower induction and mass production. Of course adjust the amount of fertilizer for the specific plant. But underground or mass production - some things work because of physics, chemistry, biology and more. Just because one does not understand it, IT STILL WORKS. And plants love THEIR food.

Try watering them and mulch the top soil. If your soil is well draining enough it doesn't matter. I live in the tropics with hot humid days (afternoon temperatures of 35 degrees celsius with 85% or more humidity under the Sun) and heavy thunderstorms during the monsoon season, and my dragonfruit plants are doing well in their pots exposed to the elements. I use a mix of fertilizer pellets and homemade vermicompost as fertilizer and I mulch the soil with coconut husk chips.

Maybe full sun in Southern California as the weather rarely goes over 100. Im in Sacramento and summer is usually 95-108 and every thing gets roasted without 30% shade.

Tipping the branches is not necessary to get an abundance blooms. I don't tip and usually gets 10 buds on 1 branch

Not necessary, but it helps induce more buds so it usually helps for many people who aren't experts or extremely experienced with their Dragon Fruit journey yet.

Hi! I’ve actually seen a few of this style being done by members in my Facebook dragon fruit community. I’m not against it but I would find it later get hard to reach it’s pot once it’s full grown to feed or maintain it? But looks totally cool tho!

C'est possible, si dans votre pays il y a beaucoup d'humidité. Sinon, c'est possible de mettre la bouture en terre lorsque les racines sont déjà visibles.
