Hi! You’re welcome :) Tbh, nobody yet knows as this visa was introduced less than 2 years ago :) but i think that you could just reapply normally so that would be a standard process

Hi Dan, thank you for the video, very useful and answer a few questions I had. I just wanted to ask you if you know whether once you get the visa you have to stay in the country a minimum of 182 days (6months +1 day) or there is not restriction on this? Also is it true the the foreign income is not taxed in malaysia? Thank you in advance.

Hi! Once you get the visa sticker in your passport - you can travel in and out of country as much as you want. Foreign income is not taxable.

Thanks a lot of a great video!😁 I have a couple of questions...(sorry if I missed that) So as a tourist I'm allowed to stay in Malaysia for 30 days without a visa, but I'm coming there for 6 weeks to work remotely. Is that correct that I basically get that nomad visa online via their website? Once I get their approval via email I can go there and start working? From what I understood I need to get a sticker stamped in the passport only if I'm gonna travel somewhere else outside of Malaysia, correct? Thanks a lot man!

Hi! Here's the thing: the approval for the digital nomad visa takes around 3 months (even though they say 6-8 weeks on their website). If you're coming as a tourist, you'll have to go out of the country in order to enter again on a special visa which you will then convert into a sticker. Digital Nomad visa is not an online visa and after you get approval you have to get a sticker in your passport. Hope this helps.

Hi, Great content few queries Q1: What about taxation for nomads? Q2: What about Income Tax and Do nomads needed SG- which regulated body provides and how to get that as nomad? @danilafire it's been 6 months since this comment, surely you are considering your taxes by now. Can you please get back to us? I'm reading that foreign digital nomads are responsible for income tax after 60 days in the country.

Hi! Sorry for missing this comment. I do have answers now since I actually cancelled my Digital Nomad and got it approved again. So, as for me, since I am paying my taxes in my home country and my income comes from a company outside of Malaysia - I do not have to pay taxes in Malaysia. I think it depends on a case basis, best if you check FAQ at LHDN website, it’s pretty extensive.

Hi! Tbh, MDEC are not sure what happens after 24 months as this visa is quite new. However, I think that you should be able to start a new application and get the new visa.

After 12 months you apply for you visa renewal which gives you another 12 months in Malaysia.

Hi! Depends on your country's taxation agreement in Malaysia. Better if you check with your tax board and Malaysian tax board.

Too complicated and intrusive on personal information... Check out Cambodian yearly visa.
