Hermes registered a 42% drop in sales for Q2, so they are desperate to make any sales. Which is why there have been so many people who got offered a bag (they are selling all the stocks they couldn't sell during lockdown). I have never seen so many Hermes unboxing before than this past month!

hamitifr hi there! I got my Birkin in January (way before any lockdown). Additionally, Hermes doesn’t carry “stock of Birkins and Kelly.” Even during lockdown, Hermes has high end clientele whom they sold Birkins and Kellys. Hermes is also the leader and most resilient player in luxury despite Q2 drop. They are never “desperate for sales” as the ready to wear and silk sales picked up immediately after reopening. Lastly, if you manage to score a Birkin now then you cannot deny the crazy re-sell value of the bags! Interestingly, during lockdown, Birkin bag resell on the secondary market fared really well for significant profits! Thanks for watching!!

Anya Simon you are so right! Hermès is always the most exclusive. And you managed to score a gorgeous Birkin. I tried to get a Birkin last week and I was denied. So they are not handing out Birkins LOL even with any lockdown Loved your video!!!!

That’s not true... I get my Birkin in my town in my Hermes Boutique, I just ask after lockdown to get one other, they told me « no impossible, the production has been stoped, and we don’t have stock now » I tried also 5 times in Paris to get an appointements and all rejected! I’m really happy to got mine before of this.

Lucky for paying 10k or whatever for a bag that is not worth a fraction of that in production/material costs lol? A fool and thier money are easily parted. Congratulations to hermes who created this so called exclusivity business model where you actually feel privileged to pay them a 1000 percent mark up or what ever it is. Hi! In USA, I would say Vegas. I would avoid big cities like LA, NY and Miami. They have loyal customer base and would be hard to score on a vacation. I also think Caribbean (St Barth) is a great place.. it’s French owned so you still get an awesome deal since it is euros. For Europe, you can try flagship in Paris but literally so hard to get an appt. I would say Belgium or Portugal. Had success in both :)

Do you think its worth to purchase Birking black bag in size 30, Box Calf Leather

I get my Birkin in my home town near to Paris (2 hours from Paris) in Hermès Tours. An unknow boutique, without appointement just a list, I wait 6 months and I get the call for Christmas last year, she was exactly the color and size, leather and hardware I was wanted was ordered for me. Without buying something else before.

Danielle CK I believe America, Europe and Asia have separate computer system and not a single universal one to look up purchase history. Asia is rather hard to score a Birkin as the stores are very loyal to VIP clientele. Macau is a goldmine to get a Birkin as there are many tourists and they have no loyal customer base. Japan is also more expensive for Birkin/Kelly. I would definitely try in Europe as you can save a lot 😘💯

Chanel is way too ridiculous!!! The quality isn’t there anymore. I much prefer Birkin or Kelly. More unique and quality you can’t miss. It was 8K since I bought it in Europe (after receiving tax credit) if you want a smaller one like Birkin 25, it costs $9400 in America. And Birkin 30 costs $11K. Much better to get these bags in Europe since they are a French bag and less expensive there (it’s more expensive in USA bc of import cost)

I think South coast plaza will be very difficult… it’s smaller and they have loyal customers. I think Vegas is worth a try… many boutiques and the one in Wynn

B35 in USA stores are $13K and B30 are $11K. This is for Togo leather. If you manage to get in Europe, you save around $2400-$2700. :)

What I don't like is that you already thought about the re-selling price and that it would be higher then the price you paid. If you don't like the bag you were offered just leave it? The re-selling market not only for Hermes bags is insane.

It's common sense to understand the value of something that you purchase. Just because you cite the value of something, doesn't mean you intend on reselling it. This thought process should be applicable to any luxury product you purchase, especially if you are an adult who is building their own personal wealth and assets.
