If you choose "Complete Quest" before the 5 min mark, the upsurge will stay the same. So you can just repeat the expedition for as long as you want without having to cycle through quests.

True! On that note though I enjoyed learning the routes of most the maps instead of doing the rajang quest cycle. It’s probably not more efficient but at least I’m making money at the same time.

@@itsmerota8523 Exactly. Though, since it only takes about 4 minutes, you could possibly squeeze out a few more ore nodes before having to dip. Generally, when I do this run, I like to set a timer for four minutes and 35 seconds. Still gives me enough to grab a few more nodes before I leave and come back

I suggest to put evade extender in your gathering set,if you can. It let you cover double the distance with the "dive",the mid air jump when you use whirebugs. Its really handy

another thing worthy of note: The first cycle in an expedition before the locale info changes is always half the time of a full (because you start the expedition between halfway through day or night). That means that when locale info changes, you should check what the new locale info is, if it's something you want like mining outcrops or local items, that means you will have double the time to gather them up than you would normally if you just left for it from the hub so it's worth staying in an expedition if the new locale info is benefitial.

The way I remember it was: If you leave before the next local info sets in (I think there was a timer of 5 minutes for it), then you can just cancel the quest by going back to Kamura (or now Elgado) and start it all over again. Because otherwise you might have to cycle through quests again in order to get the mining outcrops or whatever you are looking for.

In the past I usually did a nice 4-minute path where I grabbed my desired items (usually ores) and just repeated the quest as many times as I liked while listening to podcasts or something.

The day/night cycle is 50 minutes, 25 minutes of day, 25 minutes of night. And from a single test I did, if you start in the day, you'll have 13 minutes. And if you start at night you'll have 17 minutes. But this is from a single test, so it's inconclusive.

Should add on evade extender as well so you can jump farther after every wirebug

The Purecrystal description is wrong (I think it uses recycled text from Freedom Unite) as the can be found in Flooded Forest as well, which from what I learned in base Rise was a better farm than Caverns was due to the route you'd take. The costs drop a little bit compared to some of the ores given, but since the strat was to get in, do a loop, complete quest and then run again (upsurge will remain the same if you back out before the 5 min mark) it makes for a better and more effcient grind for zenny was Flooded Forest (you also don't need to wait for the stars to align and give you both Dango Harvester and Upsurge: Mining Outcrops with this method). The Caverns run whown here is probably better for an opportunistic cash injection, but if you're like me, just wait for Flooded Forest to give you the right time, then just run it for an hour while watching something in the background.

The value of the ores in the flooded forest are the same to higher than the caverns. I don't understand why people ran the caverns over the flooded forest to begin with except for maybe node placement and density. But Lightcrystals, Novacrystals, and Purecrystals, are all more valuable than Firestones, Firecell Stones, and Allfire Stones.

I recommend using the new Sniff’em out feature on the palimutes to indicate the locations of where you can obtain the ores on the map.

Pure crystal sadly is not found in the jungle but In master rank flooded forest

That's good to know. You just saved me some time.

Just use your Palamute and the sniff em out skill to list all the ore on ANY map with upsurge in mining outcrops. You may not get as much in a single run, but it can be done on a whim and you still get a TON of money to do the current things you are working on.

Few notes, Forest is still probably the best for money, due to the fact it also does drop Pure Crystals. Dunno where he's getting lava caverns from for mining for money, that used to be true in the base game before we knew about nova crystals.

You're most likely right. Pure Crystal doesn't actually drop in Jungle at all (the in-game text is wrong), but is actually only in Flooded Forest according to online resources. The rough value estimate from this video is simply made for the wrong locale. I imagine this method has a decent return on most locales anyway, though.

For anyone wondering using ZL+X (for Switch) is actually a faster recovery time than aiming the wirebug then shooting it, and it travels technically the same amount of distance so it's faster in general, at least in my experience

i just found out that u can shoot wirebug using ZR.. i always use X or A..

If you want to cycle quests faster try the Garangolm arena quest with the bowgun set. Lowest death time I've gotten was 14 seconds.

I was able to gather ~720k in around 10 minutes on the Flooded Forrest. On my first try, with no clever route, just moving from the second camp to the corner of the pyramit. With the upsurge. And used the Palamute to show the mining spots on the map. So maybe there is a way to farm more Zenny.

He can oneshot you, but not always. sometimes it's a 2 shot.

Another spot with lots of ore that i include in my route is the small cave area in between areas 12, 13, and 14 there should be three or 4 nodes there

Wallrun and wall run boost would also be a big boon to this run as well.

With the jungle route being fairly good too, I just check them both. I figure it gives me double the chance for an upsurge lol

It’s worth noting that the harvester dango skill can improve this run since you can go straight back to the main camp and it will have already respawned, even with palimute speed. Although i did it with skewers lvl 4 so worth messing around with to find the best route with the right dango

Sometimes I'll actually linger in the quest if the next upsurge is local items after the mining upsurge ends. I'll do runs of the fossils, scorched ore, and that colorful ore, for even more zenny, and a crap ton of kamura points

for people who don't know now you can mark the locations on the map if you take a palamute if you don't know the node locations.

Also, from the update is better (imh) to bring a palumute as a second buddy. You will fill up your pocket pretty fast while doing this farm run and he can store the excess ores. Which is worth more than having a second palico, since he cannot mine as much as you can rank up 99 stacks. If you get blessed with Raisin d'etre + Minining upsurge, you can finish the run quicker and make more money overall with the palamute ("800% of extra value" from the duplicate stack from the palamute). Also sticking around after the second reset can be worth your time because you can get lucky and have a second mining upsurge and start again with empty pockets. In the meantime, you can take advantage of the fauna by smashing them against each other (get the Gold Wirebug for double shiny) or quickly kill one while waiting for the second locale info timer to reset, it would help you farm talismans later. More bangs for your time!

roly-poly lanterns, the village 1 gathering quest, is in my experience faster, you can just wear the gathering set and be done with it in roughly 20 seconds depending on how fast your loading times are

Let's see... Go to hinoa to do roly poly lanterns, run towards 1st lantern on the left ridge near the camp, warp to subcamp grab lantern near subcamp, if insufficient grab the lanterns on the lower right side of the camp, may take longer because wisp lanterns may appear, complete quest, wait 20 seconds to end quest, return, go to minoto/chichae and check for the correct upsurge, warp back to hinoa if upsurge isn't mining crops. And that's faster?

Pretty sure using A and then B is a better way to get around with wire bugs than just pressing B alone

Although it might take a little over ten minutes, ten runs through the flooded forest, completing the quest right after you finish the route, can net you over 2.5 million zenny. Or at least that is what I get. You can get each run to slightly over a minute if you have competent movement.

@@Raxtaus Wait for an upsurge first off. Once you are in the quest, you will mine every ore spot going in a counter clockwise circle around the map. There is a hole you can jump down in area 10 that will get you into the cave, then you will go out the left tunnel that leads to sub camp 2. Once you go up the cliff to subcamp 2, fast travelling also works, you will jump across to the smaller pyramid in area 9, then right down the cliff to the water to grab the last outcrop. It will take a couple tries to get down, as it is more movement dependent than the lava caverns route, but you can get a much bigger reward if you are lucky. The flooded forest gives hella purecrystals.

Yep, and not even the better 2nd route for Flooded Forest either :/ Man, if you're gonna copy/spread a route, at least make sure it's the *good* one... (Not that the Lava Caverns route is bad, just not as good. Especially since Purecrystals are actually found only in Flooded Forest, *not* Jungle, despite what the flavor text says)

I think I will settle for just doing egg runs in the forrest the nest and camp are connection by a nice sheltered tunnel. It is 2100 zenny and Kpoints per egg and dosen't need upserges.

As someone else mentionned, I believe that using the wirebug hanging move (B button with Xbox controller) before doing air dodges while moving will grants better horizontal distance, especially if you run evade extender 3 as well! Also, using wiredashes with the quick commands (LT + B/Y for Xbox controller) instead of using LT + RT grants a sizeable cooldown reduction on them, which ends up saving a lot of time when going around without a dog. Just a quick heads up for anyonw who didn't know! While I'm at it, a final tip I found to be useful is that you can reset your air dodges by landing on the ground and jumping off a ledge, even if done very quickly. This also makes going down to certain areas much faster! I hope this helped someone ^^

I think that points are definitely more valuable since there's less direct ways to get them, compared to money. Where are you spending all of your points on? Are you buying stuff from the argosy all the time, or what? I find the natural points you get from completing the Sub-Optional quests (breaking monster parts, stunning them, etc) covers all of my Meowcenaries and other minigame needs of points. I just did the points mining route a few times at end game base rise, and haven't had too many problems w them since then

Maybe when I reach endgame and actually need to craft the most expensive stuff and upgrade it, but for now, I'm making waaaay more than I'm spending. Currently sitting at 700K and I'm at MR 4

@@AscendantStoic Gold and silver eggs from the cahoot nests. Trade in materials from the argosy and buddies. Vouchers to double post quest zenny rewards. And then you can use monster parts you don't need on talisman melding. Yeah I'll stick to doing hunts.

This route is absolutely awful.

I found a faster route. In about 12 minutes I got 1.17 million.

That option of cycling quest isn’t a viable option for me since my pride won’t let me voluntarily let me lose on purpose or let a monster defeat me

Another tip here to add on to the Argosy and Meowcenary sellables. The special materials for the "special" armors(Barbania, deathstench, etc) once you craft all 5 pieces those no longer need to be held onto, but they will be continually piling up. For example I had 500k worth of the treasure chests needed for the barbania set, but I had all 5 pieces. Sold them all. I went through and found all the other niche/special materials and made sure to craft all the pieces first then sold the rest. I started at 10k(armor upgrading is EXPENSIVE), I'm back up to 5.6 mil after finding these materials.
