    Used this video to repair my dishwasher today. Thank you for posting! Took about 3 hours to replace after about an hour and a half to diagnose and determine that the issue was the user interface. Some of the plastic screw holders for the panel itself broke off but I put them back with some super glue.

    Jumper settings: instructions come with the new board. As shown on this video, They are 4 little plastic squares inserted into pins on the board. You then pull them out and arrange them according to instructions. It's a very simple thing to do. ..if you don't adjust them the board won't start.

    Thanks, this worked for us. We also had lot of rust on the hinges. We think it was because the bottom seal (it's like a weather strip on a door) got really caked with crud and probably was spraying and leaking water. Once you take the door hinges off, this seal slides out easily and can be cleaned. Also the yellow foam around the port in the door was flaky and dried up on the side toward the door. I gently pulled the foam off, turned it over and put it back on, since the other side was in better shape. Maybe this will help you too.

    This video was perfect for us, however the jumper setting diagram was a bit unclear. We thought we had defective parts, so on our 3rd part (and after taking the dishwasher apart and putting it back together about a dozen times) we saw some comments about trying different pin settings and we finally got it to work! To us, it looked like the parts came set to personality 15 out of the box, but they weren't. All 4 pins had to get moved down toward the numbers to be set to 15 (ours was personality 10).

    There are 4 jumpers there, and can be just pulled straight up. Then you can put them back on like in the diagram according to your model.

    My numerical display has fallen down and to the right so that it is hard to read. Is repairing it simply of matter of accessing it and screwing it back on to the interface control board, or reattaching the control board to its mount?

    Dishwasher was dead.. replaced the control panel board and its back on but beeping. Have a feeling replacing the board just reset it. But now it beeps every so often pointing to the user interface board. Ive ordered one of these but should I put back the old control board and send it back for refund, I'm still eligible to do so?

    Can you tell me what symptoms would cause this part to fail? My dishwasher seems to have no power. There is however power at the connector (where it is hard wired). The buttons don’t work and the display does nothing.

  • @thesqueedler

    @thesqueedler

    2 жыл бұрын

    We found that not turning on and having the display do nothing was caused by the user interface control board in our case, but we learned it can also be the power control board which is on the bottom of the unit.

  • @tomloya7366

    @@thesqueedler It would be good to show a couple things. 1. If you have the power control board hooked up and it has a solid green light, then it's probably the UI board. 2. if you are getting DC 13.5v - 14v on the #2 Black/Green to #5 yellow/blue, then the UI board is getting the proper power and it essentially is the UI board.

    Anyone with the stainless steel inside cover: there are an addition 4 screws on the lower insde (2 per side) as well as 2 more screws underneath all the way up instead (1 per side). You need to undo all of these before you can pull off the cover. The 2 screws inside are a real pain. But when you pull the dishwasher out and tilt it, you can access these. They are further back inside in addition to the 2 on the bottom that he removes in the video. ALSO: there was no hinge pin holes on mine (to hold the hinges in place at an angle. Very strange. I had to pull the washer out and disconnect the hinges from the springs. This was actually very easy though. If you do it this way, you should remove the the door with rhe hinges attached before you remove all the screws. Good luck everyone
