Aha! There's more to the gapping tool than meets the eye. I can't believe that in all my years of hobby mechanics, going on 24 years, no one has ever showed me this. I knew that a gapping tool measured the gap of spark plugs but never had i seen how to use one to adjust the gap. So simple.

I now have a slight odor of gasoline coming through the vents when the heater it on. I knew this wasn't a coincidence and I read it "could be the gap" or the plugs are loose. (Yes, or something worse) I know I did the proper tightening, but I failed to pre check the gap like a moron. Dumb...dumb! Yeah I shouldn't have trusted "pre-gapped" I have to re do this tomorrow in the 20º wind chill nonsense. Thanks for this, I have the same tool.

It shows through your lack of tolerance for anyone who doesn't conform to your standards. If you can't get over that someone can make grammar, spelling, punctuation, or sentence structure mistakes. Then you cannot spread anything but ignorance and hate.

I just regapped my plugs today - and it's pretty hard to push that ground electrode down. I would estimate it takes at least 40 or 50 lb.
