Intro and Outro for the hearing impaired;
If you make French beaded flowers and always wanted to turn your flowers into accessories, have you wondered how you’d get from THIS to THIS? In today’s video, I’m going to show you how to make a French beaded poinsettia brooch without the bulk. This is going to blow your minds! Stay tuned!
Hi everyone, my name is Fen Li, author, bead instructor, and designer here at the Bead Flora Studio. Chances are, if you make French beaded flowers, you want more than just stems to display. The ideas are rolling in your head that you want them to be hair clips, jewelry, and brooches… but you’re stuck on what to do with the wires and still attach the findings. In today’s video, I’m going to show you how to make this poinsettia brooch using a method of one-wire construction along a variation of the technique I developed called the continuous split basic. Except there won’t be a “Split” so it’s just continuous basic. For this brooch, instead of making the brooch pin an afterthought...we’re going to attach it on first. Let’s go!
If you are familiar with my continuous split basic technique, then you can whip up these brooches for gifts in about an hour. If you'd like to buy the pdf, I will put the link in the description below. Please like, subscribe and hit the notification bell. Also sign up for my newsletter to be part of my inner circle. Thanks so much for watching and I'll see you next week. Bye!

    Very cool technique. I indeed have wondered how to make your flowers into not so bulky accessories like hair clips. Thanks for this. Also my word I cannot say correctly: squirrel (probably because I am German 😁)

    Hi Flora....I just want to say how much I love your videos!! I also had a question...I know this video is from 2020, and now we're in 2021, I just would like to see a video on how you made that beautiful pink and silver tipped poinsettia. I keep looking at it but can't figure it out. Can you show or do you already have a video on it? thank you again for your beautiful videos.

    Hi Rosa, I don't have a video on it but when you string on the beads for the last two rows for the petals, instead of stringing all the same color, switch it out for the colors of choice for the outer rows. String about half with color A then string on color B that you'd like to tip with. Make the row then string on more color B, rest of color A and then finish the row. Hope that helps :)
