Yes I do wonder same, people in india believe in fresh veggies and always cook same day. What would be the difference if we keep cut veggies ahead and use them later? Any nutrition loss? Or they would spoil? 🤔

@@deepthireddy3267no it won’t lose any nutrition. Infact it will stop losing any nutrients because you are freezing it’s time! So the one month frozen veggies will be even more nutritious when compared to the few days old vegetables in your refrigerator. Only downside of freezing is that the texture will change

For ppl against freezing they can just skip this video.. I was watching this just bcz I wanted to see what they do although I know if I stay where I live I won't be doing this as it's a local region where these are basically winter veggies which u can buy easily and I being a milennial is used to that process so for me that's regular way but at many places ppl can't do that for different reasons so it's good idea.. Bcz even in my region frozen green peas are used when ppl wanna have peas in another season

To all commenting that” fresh” vegetables are available, so freezing is a bad idea: 1. How many of us actually buy vegetables on daily basis and use it up immediately? Most of us store for a week - is the nutritional value the same or is it reduced in that week? 2. For people in the city buying from supermarkets/ shops rather than mandis- do you know how long it has been since the vegetables were harvested? There are a lot of videos and studies available that prove that (some, not all varieties) of vegetables retain nutrients more when frozen. Please get your facts right before criticising someone’s ideas. To me personally freezing vegetables was a big help especially during the lock down times when nothing was available.

I don't understand some people... You can buy frozen at the store so what's the difference in buying or growing and freezing your own? I'd choose frozen before canned any day of the week and as you said, nutritional value isn't affected much if any.

Research paper shows that there is minimal nutritional loss if you freeze your vegetables. Just cut and store in a polybag in freezer. Its as simple as that. Busy people working day to night can use them. Atleast better than buying a fastfood.

Put whole tomatoes in freezers, use in curry, dhal etc. Curry leaves can be kept in the cooler, they will dry out, but freshen up as soon as its put in the oil. Chillies, can dry and use in powder form, stops wastage but still get the same spiciness. Haven't found any solution for coriander.

It’s better to freeze on a parchment paper lined sheet pan 1st and then bag. IQF=individual quality frozen

I freeze peas and corn directly without blanching it for about 8 months to an year . And it will be fresh. Even mango puree.

@@deepthip9179 I deep freeze greenpeas alone in the refrigerator directly without blanching. It cooks faster. It's better than blanching.

Puree mango with a bit of sugar and store in containers with large lid or in zip lock bags. For vegetables just chop and freeze in smaller zip lock bags. Mine lsst more than 6-8 months. Mango lasts one year and more. No cooking or blanching

You can freeze directly but this preserves the texture better, mango puree needs sugar btw else it becomes slimy
