    Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I do have a question. When framing with sticky board sometimes I find that the piece becomes too thick to fit in the frame so that the back board doesn’t stay in place with the small metal tabs. What am I doing wrong or how do I go about not having this problem?

  • @FatQuarterShopFlossTube

    @FatQuarterShopFlossTube

    Hello Karen! If you use batting - it will become kind of thick. Also - if your corners are bulky it will be harder to press the back board into place.

    I've been framing my work so far, but what I struggle with most is frames that aren't really "deep" enough to hold the fabric with the board. getting the prongs of the frame back closed has been quite difficult and frustrating for this reason. do you have any tips for this? is there a particular brand of frames that better accommodate what we want to do?

  • @momgrandma5496

    I used to do my own framing, put a piece of cardboard, then brown paper...sign the back.

    Hello Starlet! We recommend taking your sticky board or finishing board that for your stitched piece on and see if it fits in the frame. If you are also backing the frame with fabric covered sticky or foam board, take that into consideration as well when you are trying to find a frame.

    thanks for the tips, I have only done a few so far and always striving to make the next one better. it helps to remember what others have said at times.. "no one else is going to know what it looks like on the back." lol but I do. I'll keep soaking the knowledge and get better and better at this. =)
