i know this is old, but you can take your shadow box to the framing counter at your craft store and they can cut a matte to fit (goes on top of jersey or border, right under the glass). This usually costs around $30 but it makes it look even more pro.

Was your black matting separate from the back of the shadow box? My shadow boxes are from Michaels and the black matting is glued to the backing for the box which is making it impossible to pin my jersey! Thanks.

Yeah just standard pins. When you go ask someone there and tell them what your using it for they will show you what to get that's what I did

The frame doesn't advertise any UV protection. Have you had any issues with fading?
