Risa, I am 41 and my eyes are similar in shape to yours. My skin is starting to lose its elasticity and no matter the botox or fillers, can only do so much with my eyes. I have watched the foxy eye tutorials by so many influences and the results are unrealistic because many of us, are well, not 20!! This helped me so much Risa! @@elainebines6803 Wiping toward your nose, not "out" toward the ear seems to work well to reduce drag and is invaluable if you get something IN your eye: there's more space in which to remove a lash or particle rather than risking the chance of "ripping" the outer corner of your eye.

Same here! I've been getting that close my entire life though! Plus so glad that I've been doing my eye makeup like this for pretty much the last 20 years. Otherwise my shadow was always just gone..

The smile-and-dot trick is an ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER. I didn't even realise that's what had been going wrong with my liner, it always seemed like whatever I did it always looked too low. This fixes it! Thank you!!!

What a great transformation from down turned to totally lifted! Seeing the comparison of one eye as you were completing it to the other eye that had nothing done really showed how powerful your techniques were.

I am seriously amazed at how you were able to transform your eyes. At the beginning of the video, I was like “ her eyes are NOT down turned”. Then when you had your makeup off it was shocked! You do a wonderful job and I love your tutorials.

Risa, thank you! At 50 I have almost given up on eyeshadow, but now I'm going to try this. In my youth I had slightly hooded but almond shaped eyes which were one of my best features and garnered me a lot of compliments about how beautiful my eyes were, but now the hood has become very pronounced, particularly on the left eye. It has just become so frustrating and depressing to do shadow, and when I try it seems to take forever, so I gave up except for some tinted primer to cover the redness and veins in my lids and vowed not to buy anymore shadow. I appreciate this video, because it seems to have some different tips from the others I have seen. Excited to try it your way!
