Any tips on why my computer won’t read the SD card or the insta 360 says no sd card? Had all the footage until I tried to download it to my laptop and changed it to usb drive setting and now I’m stuck because I need to get the footage ! It’s a brand new card and only had the camera for a week now and was able to watch all the footage in the app prior to doing this..

Maybe its a mith but heard its better to format cards on a computer if possible?

That is a myth. I have always used the computer or the device and either one works great

I lost footage after formatting

Mine just informed me that it would delete footage before I clicked format. If you have an X.3, you should have been warned.

​ @NotoriousN_I_G_ and @Y1KYoungxn Well that's what formatting does, it wipes the whole card, drive or whatever digital medium and, if selected, changes its format! The guy in this video specifically said this too, so what the fuck are u so surprised about?

Got the same problem, and I've purchased that 512GB card solely for that camera coz I was expecting massive file sizes, but so far it's only recognized my 16GB card that I've used for a first test.There's a video in which the guy says to format the SD card on ur PC with quick formatting *_UNCHECKED,_* which is what I'm currently doing. Tho by the looks of it that's gonna take a few hours... The same guy also said that the camera didn't detect some of his cards no matter *_WHAT_* he did, so I guess the damn thing just doesn't recognize some kinds of SD card. The one that DID work for him was a SanDisk one, which mine is aswell, so there's still hope mine's gonna work after formatting. Update after leaving my PC running overnight for the formatting: Camera STILL doesn't recognize the card. I'll try one more thing I've seen in another video and if that doesn't work I'll just get a different card and use the current one for other things. google compatibility requirements, there are certain boxes to check with what kind/size of sd card works
