My grandmother was the youngest of ten. Her oldest brother's nickname was σκατίγγο and hers was σκατουλάκι. I knew diminutives before I even started learning Greek!

I like the way we use " υποκοριστικα" to express love and tenderness..: "αντρας- αντρουλης", " αγαπη μου- αγαπουλα μου"," μωρο μου- μωρακι μου" " γυναικα μου- γυναικουλα μου" " κοριτσι μου- κοριτσακι μου" " σπιτι μου- σπιτακι μου= home sweet home...φαγητο- φαγάκι...

Hi Easy Greek team, I really want to thank you so much for all your work :) I started learning Greek a few weeks ago and I've been watching all of your videos during that self-isolation time, and they are soooo useful! This channel is a blessing! You speak slowly, you provide subtitles with translation, it's perfect for building vocabulary, learning grammar and practicing my listening skills! Thank you again so much for your content, ευχαριστώ πολύ

Yanot!

I had to look it up. But you're probably referring to Proino Astro (Morning Star) by Giannis Ritsos.

@@EasyGreekVideos thanks to unveil the mystery. I would have bet for some of the hispanophon countries. Life is full of tricky things, for instance I have Greek ancestors but unfortunately I can't speak Ελλενικα. Wierd ah? My both parents spoke greek, my dad as a speaker of his mother language, my mom as a second one. They move from Greece to Argentina at the end of 40s. My mom pushed my dad to talk Greek at home but mysteriously he refused. I, myself, emigrated to Canada years ago and I won't never forgive my dad for that incomprehensible mistake. I started to learn Greek by myself. There are several small town in Greece homonyms of my family name, Μαγουλάς. I'm quite pride to be Greek. Για σας φιλίες
