    I liked the way the remnant from the bottom of the shirt was tucked in. It'll keep the folded shirt firmly in place, especially while travelling. Good to see it!

    I like your idea of tucking the shirt in at the top, seems like it would help to keep the shirts nicely folded in a drawer, particularly if your pulling one from the middle of the pile.. It doesn't matter if it causes the bottom of the shirt to wrinkle a bit if your tucking it into you slacks anyway.

    Don't change a thing! Great tutorial Raoul! It was well worth my time. The length of this tutorial fit the content. Your tone and tempo is relaxing and reassuring ( paramount to getting your message across). Everything you demonstrated, I have encountered in my wardrobe. Therefore, your guidance and expertise is important and appreciated. The tip about folding the end of the shirt into itself- brilliant ( I'll be using that in a few more weeks). Your appearance is sharp and your closet is spot-on; keep up the good work. BTW- close to one million views is pretty impressive. -RM

    It's interesting to me as a Welsh man that the Romanian shirt is called an IE. In the Welsh language, IE is the word for YES. I also agree with others commenting below that your voice and delivery is very soothing and relaxing

    There are quite a few things in common between the celts and the thracians (later called dacs, then romanians). For one thing, my middle name, a traditionally Romanian name, Ioan, is also found among the Welsh. And there are other similarities. Trace the origins of the celts and you might be surprised to find out where they came from.

    When I was a kid at 10, I worked in a knit wear factory in one summer holiday, of course, child labor was/is illegal. I watched those girls who worked in the packing department, a bit older than me, folded the knitwear nice and neat and packed it into a poly bag just in 10 seconds. They used just a piece of cardboard to the size of each particular knit wear design as a folding tool. I wondered why we can't find such kind of tools on the market to help people fold their clothes efficiently and nicely. Now, I am going to look around my home to see if I can find something like this board to help me fold my clothes. Thanks for reminding me of this board.

    They didn't have them when I made this video. Look at the date when I published it. And even if they'd been around, I doubt I'd have bought one when I have plenty of wood in my cellar and our carpenters happened to be working at our house that day. It took about 5 minutes for them to make me a couple of beautiful boards that I still use.

    Question: I enjoy looking nice, and wearing suits, as I was raised by a southern family where politeness, cleanliness in public, and being presentable outside of yard work is of the utmost importance. At the moment, I am living in Phoenix, Arizona where it is difficult to wear such things like a suit, because the temperature here can get over 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Are there any specific types of suits, fabrics, etc that would make wearing a suit in the summer more bearable, if not, comfortable? Thanks a million Mr. Pop!

  • @RaoulPop

    @RaoulPop

    10 жыл бұрын

    The best advice I can give you at the moment is to go for linen suits in the summer. Thinner wools would also be a good choice. Also choose lighter colors for your suits, because they reflect sunlight instead of absorbing it, keeping you cooler. Unfortunately it can be torture to wear a suit during the summer's sweltering temperatures. Suits were invented in Britain and we all know the weather in the UK is more suited to wearing them. Even I, who live in a temperate climate, look forward to spring and autumn as they're the seasons most suited to wearing suits.

    Great video! I just got lectured by a 20 year old college kid not to tuck the end in, because, "Your not technically supposed to and it really annoys him when I do that." I love it when people tell me how things are, "supposed to" be done that are fairly speculative. I can see how if you were just stuffing the material into the back with lack of care, it could lead to bulging and wrinkles. However, if you are ensuring the the material is flat and even within the pocket, I still believe that his method is better as it leads to less movement in the fabric resulting in a more secure fold.
