i tried it with a 3"x24" strip of paper, that's 8 squares of 3"x3" and it was large enough to work with easily, still made a realistic sized rose too! Overall, love this rose!

This is a beautiful rose and deserves to be given a tutorial that does it justice. A step by step where you can actually see the fold would be nice. Please consider making a new tutorial of this rose. Thank you.

On their blog post about this model it says the paper ratio is 1:8 so a 1"x 8" would work or a 2"x 16" or a 3"x24", you just have to make sure the long side is 8 times as long as the short for the model to work.

If you want it to stay folded without glue: 1. Fold the rose. 2. Get the rose just a little bit damp by pressing a damp paper towel on it, or a fine mist spray bottle or even sweaty hands can work. Not so wet that the paper falls apart. 3. Roll it up tight and hold the layers in place with a paper clip or a rubber band. 4. After it dries, you can take off the rubber band and it will stay folded. It will stay rolled best with small, stiff paper (I used an 8 x 1 inch strip cut from an envelope), but larger paper (like 24 x 3 inches as suggested below) is much easier to fold and will also work as long as it is stiff paper. If it is your first time, use big paper.

This is so so pretty (and not too difficult)... but... how do you make the whole thing stay together when you wrap it up in the end? Is there a way to, like, lock it into place?

It is embossed origami paper. You buy it premade that way. It already comes in a square, so all you have to do is fold it according to what you want to make.

Cielo santo, bueno, no quedo cómo la primer rosa, pero aun así es muy bonita. Pero sinceramente no esta bien explicado, primero por comenzar con el papel ya doblado, luego no dicen ni que tipo de papel usan y luego que no explica cómo dejar la rosa correctamente para que no se desarme. A y tomate algo para ese temblor de manos, parece que te va a dar algo.
