I'm watching this 10yrs later and after failing to fold like this several times. In my eighth attempt i finally did it in 3 -5 seconds! I'll be folding like this and practice until i perfect it. It's going to help me in the long way. Thank goodness i didn't gave up early , i kept doing this on my brother shirt . To do it in 3-5 sec i took 5-7 minutes of failing constantly. Thanks dave your videos are helping people even after 10yrs!

I think this is the best vidéo ever on KZread (or maybe it's witch doctor). Not 5 minutes worth of random intro, straight to the point, 1mn long and you learn an easy skill that will save you a lot of time through your life !

I completely failed

Slight alteration/tip: you can get a wider end result if you make the vertical reference line halfway between the edge of the collar and the seam of the sleeve instead of halfway between the middle of the shirt and the seam/left side (otherwise the end result is a bit tall). This is actually done in the video, but the positions are very close to each other.

I initially felt dumb when I failed because I oriented the shirt incorrectly, but when I faced the side of the shirt, it worked instantly. Amazing technique!

I first watched this video when it came out ten years ago and ppl 4 times between then and now. This evening I watched it again, with a purpose; I had the laundry in front of me and finally wanted to try out how good the hack is. Great. It’s simply great. And I do enjoy your other content, too. Thx for the tip, i had no idea how to fold my t-shirts before but now i can fold them easily and neatly

I saw this and it didn't make sense to me in a counter intuitive way. While doing it it still seemed off until I had the best folded T-shirt in my history of folding shirts! This has monumentally changed my life. Before the folds were not typically good enough compared to the much too many seconds it would take me. So most of the time I don't even bother and deal with the slight wrinkles. With this folding method, I will now fold half of my next load of laundry!! Thank you do much DaveHax. Seriously though my previous folds were so bad and time consuming it caused self-doubt when doing this chore lol. I thank you. P.S. wtf did I even just say. Just blah blah blah into the keyboard. I'm sir yapsAlot over here in some 10 year old youtube video.

That's the case for me NOW. I tried it 10 times already, still cannot fold the shirt at all. Not in 2 seconds, not in any amount of seconds... Imagine, how I feel!

Hey, this works, and with very little practice. I normally fold my shirts wide however, so the stack is less tall. And I have them color coded so I can find my t-shirts in the dark. It's all about that end user experience.

Who else just laughed to themselves knowing nothing could now stop you from being the best shirt folder of all time.

@@travisn346 fold at the middle, once, in half, all 4 elastic ends r together. Tuck 2 pockets into the other 2. Fold same way half again and again. You ll now have a long narrow strip, which u can fold doubled several times till its the size of normal flatsheet folded. Tuck flat fitted and 2 cases in together so u have ur full beds needs all together in one package. Easy to work with.

Definitely need a table for this. Since I am often folding without benefit of table, I end up using slower methods. But this one works a treat!

(Assuming a t shirt) Face down, flip so the end of the sleeve lines up where the other sleeve meets the body, pull the other sleeve back toward you so you're roughly staring a rectangle and then fold in thirds?
