You are aware that "gi" (着) as a stand alone word doesn't exist? It's always used as a suffix like "Kendo-gi" (剣道着), "Judo-gi" (柔道着), "Karate-gi" (空手着) or - more generic - "Budo-gi" (武道着)...

perhaps you are right(i cant call it lol) but in bjj the uniform it is called a kimono or gi! you can call it a ''bjj gi'' if that makes you happy! bjj guys want you to be happy! they are a pretty laid back group on the whole! so yeah..they want peace and they want to surf but above all they want for you to be happy!
