You never cease to amaze me Amy. Love this too. I so envy you I do. Add a small stone or crystal dangle in the middle to those earrings it would make them have a bit of bling. Love them all.

Thank you for this video Amy! I just received my joy last night and immediately had to try out some faux leather earrings. Sadly, my machine was doing a terrible job cutting the leather and I wasn't getting clean cuts all the way through. Do you recommend a very thin faux leather? I'm a bag Maker so I have tons of faux leather scraps I want to use up, but, my faux leather tends to be on the heavier side.

Hi, Nessie! I cut lots of different thicknesses of faux leathers. I would say to be sure you are using "more" pressure and you are repeating the cut a few times. I find I can cut most thicker faux leathers using those two tips.

Hi, I don't think so, unfortunately. The foil tip has been specially designed to work with the Cricut foil so it transfers evenly and permanently through a precise amount of pressure. Thanks for your comment!

Does the foil stay on the faux leather? I would love to make faux leather labels for my crochet beanies. Will it stay on if washed on gentle?

Do you recommend the joy? I knew when it comes to crafting machines. I make birthday cards and Christmas cards sometimes Lasher I did not get to because of the pandemic it’s just what happened last year and I wasn’t able to make anybody birthday or Christmas cards. So I try to make some with my boyfriend who surprisingly is pretty good at making cards I remember gosh it’s probably been a few years now I can’t even tell you I don’t remember if it’s been three or four years that we’ve been doing it and his mom was so shocked the first time we ever made Christmas cards. And he’s like mom why are you shocked I grew up watching you scrapbook. I love to get people birthday and Christmas cards so my boyfriend thought it be a good idea to make cards. So I would probably use it for cards maybe make some jewelry like earrings for gifts for people who have their ears pierced I don’t know I really want one of those machines. But I recently moved into a very small condo and I don’t have the closet space like I used to or the room space. So I have a very small spot I could put one in my closet and then take it out and put it in the kitchen island this condo has an island in the kitchen I’ve never had one of those. Where I lived before I had a really small dining room table that fit probably for people so when I had some of my family members over the table or TV trays and sat on the couch. And it wasn’t a very good little table someone had given to me when I moved into my old condo and it wasn’t very good it was wobbly so I’m going to get a new table for the new condo. So at the old condo I would pretty much use that little wobbly table or I would be crafting on my bed or the floor. Well the condo I moved into with my roommate in the last month the only place to do crafting is in the kitchen island there’s an island in the kitchen I had a great size to craft on. But I don’t have room to get one of those big fancy crafting machine. And even if I could find roomThere’s also the supplies that come with it that I couldn’t store so I can’t store it all. So I figured a joy it would be a good starting point for someone who’s never use a crafting machine and who’s not gonna use it all the time so I figured it would be a good starting point but everybody who I have talk to doesn’t recommend it I literally almost bought one on HSN they had a wonderful bundle deal and I could just do the four monthly payments so I can afford it and I literally almost bought one because your first time purchasing on that website you get an additional $20 off your first purchase so I would’ve save even more money but no one recommended it

Has anyone tried to use htv on back of faux leather? Or permanent?

Hi, Dawn! I use HTV on the back of faux leather earrings all the time. I recommend it over permanent vinyl because it adheres better and gets flatter on the back of the material. I’m using an iPad in design space and I can’t find the operation button to select foil?

Hi, Jodi! As far as I know, the foiling tip only works with desktop versions of Design Space. :(

@@AmyRomeu I finally figured that out, lol. I’m bummed, I don’t have a desktop. I’m gonna try to take the kit back tomorrow but I opened it and tried to hook it up, so we’ll see! Gonna continue to watch all your other tutorials though, they’re all so helpful!

Hi, how are you making this project? The Cricut Joy Foil Transfer Tool requires the Cricut Joy App or Design Space for Desktop. It is not compatible with other mobile apps, like the Design Space mobile app.

@@AmyRomeu ciao...grazie mille per la risposta e per il tuo aiuto... ho eseguito con l aiuto dei sottotitoli in italiano il progetto ... purtroppo quando uso la funzione collega del foil e del taglio ... mi indica che il progetto non può essere visualizzato... sto usando la versione design space per desktop ... ho provato anche a vedere qualche altro tutorial e fare un progetto di cricut ma il risutato è uguale... quando vi è la funzione collegata del foil con il taglio, non mi fa andare avanti e mi dice di contattare il member care
