There are a lot of training/informative videos out there on raising and training dogs, but this video is definitely up there with the best of them. It is so filled with information that I never would have thought about on a topic I have never seen covered before. It has opened my eyes on another way to bring home my next pup. Great job!

Such a cute puppy! It's so important to make sure your puppy carrier is well made. On my trip back from NH with our DK years ago, it came apart on the plane, and he escaped. The passengers were very helpful. In Chicago the lady at the airline desk taped it up for me, and we made it home okay. It was a nightmare. On another issue, I was able to have him go potty on some newspaper in the restroom. He did great despite the lousy bag.

Thank you for making this video. I'm picking up a Labradoodle puppy from my friend's sister in Upstate NY in 12 days and I'm really nervous about flying with her. Since I don't plan on taking luggage with me, I'm just gonna pack small in my personal item backpack. Since she is going to be my carry on, I don't want to deal with too much. I just made my flight reservation and will contact the airlines to make a reservation for her coming home. Thanks so much for the video. I feel a little less nervous about flying with her and hope she does well on the plane.

I think this video is how I found your channel! I flew home w my Great Dane puppy this week, my back still hurts lol. I used the large size sturdibag which was comfortable enough but she was 22 lbs and i'm weak. We flew southwest and all went well other than sweating through airports. Did have to use a pet relief area on a connecting flight in ATL bc we didnt have enough time to go outside and go through security again ):

@@perezfamily505 not at all! and I was so nervous bc we got trapped in the hotel for 3 extra days (massive snow storms back east) and she gained 3 more lbs lol. I highly recommend southwest, and the large sz sturdibag (it will KILL your shoulders though I dont know what the solution is to that....) they make an XL but I think that would be pushing it cause honestly the large was big enough I was concerned someone would tell me it wasn't going to fit under the seat. it did but it had to be squished a bit. on one trip we had the smaller 700 plane and it was kinda cramped but the 800s were more roomy. but she did great! because of all the storms and cancellations we had THREE fights home from OKC to PHL and no one gave us any issues on any of the flights thank god. Best of luck!!! let me know if you have any other questions lol I was so anxious about it I did so much research

Ok awesome!! Yes I'm ordering that carrier for sure. I was also thinking about bringing my Mobi wrap I already have. Mostly for going through the airport, because I don't want him to touch the floor at all, and I know that carrier will be so heavy and awkward to carry. Also planning on using puppy pads in the bathroom for potty, if necessary.

@@justjaymar_ not bad actually. I made it to be harder in my head. My pup was 10 weeks to the day old. You need a soft sided do carrier (recommend one that has expandable sides you can unzip.) I brought some pee pads. A baby blanket. A little toy and bully stick for entertainment. Lots of treats. When we were at our connecting flight we had over and hour. Went to family restroom laid down a pee pad until she pottied. I'd avoid pet relief area until they have their shots. My pup didn't whine on either take off or landing. Stayed in carrier the whole time. I would put my hand in occasionally and pet her just for comfort. Another couple I know that flew back with a puppy was allowed to take their puppy out of carrier on the plane. Sounds like it's a case by case basis by which flight crew you get. Hope this helps. Be careful using grassy areas where all the other puppies go. They can get sick of they do not have completed vaccations. I would just use a puppy pad in the bathroom.
