Loved this! especially the part about what was included and excluded from the arrival STAR. (0:18:29) On the chart just above the Red Table arrival was KEGE(Eagle,, CO) that had the circular star symbol but in gray. Just saw the comment about ForeFlight and makes sense since Boeing already owns Jeppesen; Sort of makes acquiring ForeFlight a no brainer.

Just heads up the altitudes with a line UNDER them (like at 39:30) does not mean the plane must be at 17,000 it means the plane must be AT LEAST 17,000 If the blue line is both above and below the height, then it means 17,000 (or whatever the number).

If the altimeter setting is below 29.92 then FL180 is considered unusable(ATC cannot assign fl180 because indicated altitude would be below 18000ft) and so in that case the altimeter should be set when you descend past fl190.

At 38:40 you say there are no altitude restrictions at HAQHY. The MAA for the course between HAQHY and TUCKK is FL260. Wouldn't the pilot need to cross HAQHY at FL260?

At 9:50, you say that this STAR "transitions us right onto an RNAV approach." Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this transition us onto an ILS approach or a visual?

Anyway someone can get their hands on Jepps charts while spending little to no money? I have a phone interview for a regional and of course they want APP, SIDS, STARS, Airport diagrams but all in Jepps. I am comfortable with all of them on FAA charts but they only way I know how to get familiar with Jepp is by watching videos. Any souses will help. They don't even need to be in date, like i said for familiarity only, I have no intentions to fly them at the moment.

Airlines use Jepp because the FAA is a bureaucratic garbage fire of poorly revised publications, vague statements, undefined terms, incorrect [or severly out of date] information, and arbitrary rule making. Not that I'm a fan of bureaucrats in the first place but the deeper I get into aviation the less respect I have for the FAA. (not saying ICAO is any better but my experience is with the FAA)
