This is how I've always had to flutter tongue (also a flute player) but I've never been able to do it consistently. Sometimes it works, sometimes, my throat just won't cooperate.

Thank you so much!!! I CAN role my tongue, but it just doesn't work for me in the flute embouchure, while my throat is pretty capable for pretty much any time of sound thanks to my first language. Your tutorial helped me a lot!!!! Now I just need to work on the notes higher than D. :)
When I opened this video my first thought was "Wow. She's tiny". Then I saw your screenname. edit: If you trill with your tongue then try doing the horse-raspberry sound while holding your lips taught. That got my tongue vibrating in exactly the way which I couldn't before. I literally did that a minute ago and now I can trill. Madness.
