    Is your spanner moving false first check that . Then try to remove it with a new hex spanner of the same size. If it doesn't work you need to go to a local workshop . As this may require to create a cut point and then slowly rotate that point with a hammer and flat blade screwdriver. Replace with a new drain nut and gasket.

    Thanks for your query. This engine is highly reliable and seen to have run 2.5 lakh kms or more without any overhaul. Yes regular oil and filter change is the key to its life. Overhaul may be a costly affair as spares are a bit expensive and availability of the engine inner parts may be in the near future will be difficult as the product has been discontinued . In that situation we may consider second hand parts to our rescue.

    is it normal to see bubbles in coolant tank while accelerating?

  • @supercyberautomotivetravel

    @supercyberautomotivetravel

    Yes coolant will circulate and some bubbles may appear. It will diminish as the system heats up. Also the system may contain some air in the cooling system.

  • @Sobin16

    @Sobin16

    Жыл бұрын

    If you meant coolant trickling from the system back to the reservoir, it's normal, but if you see actual bubbles, then that could be a potential problem. Heard of head gasket leaks? When gasket between head and crankcase fails, the loss of seal will cause the gasses pressured inside the cylinder to be released into the coolant channels. This gas travels through the coolant pipes to exit into low pressure area (atmosphere). That space is your coolant tank. If you see bubbles there it means the cylinder gasses are reaching there via coolant channels. Time to get gasket change in that case. If you have a modern car with sensors, if cylinder loses pressure this way, you should be able to see a check engine light. If in doubt, get a mechanic to diagnose. It gives you peace of mind.

    There are a few things right and wrong in the oil change method shown in this video. Firstly, let me help viewers understand when and where a flush is needed. If you're consistently using synthetic oil in the engine and have been religiously changing it before the 10000 km or 1 year interval, flush is generally not required. The only exception is if you buy a used car and you don't know whether the first owner has changed the oil in time. In such cases or if you have neglected your own oil change then once is fine in 50000 km. The fact is your engine internals need not look like a mirror, it's good enough if there is no varnish. The black oil exiting the oil chamber is an indication things are normal. In fact I would be more worried if I see any other color of used oil. Like milky, foamy, brown. These colors indicate, leaking coolant, gasket leak, and other issues that are costly to fix. So black coloured oil is perfectly A-OK. But remember there are pros and cons to using flush. First, condition is your engine to have sooty sludge. That is baked carbon chunks that stick to head covers in the form of pasty varnish. If so, the oil flush will break these chunks. If you're lucky these chunks dissolve, which is the best case, and removed during oil change. But if instead of dissolving, if the flush dislodges the whole baked chunks, then you're in deep trouble. The oil channels running from the sump to all the bearings and internal areas are so so small. You have to see it inside an opened up engine to believe how small those channels are. If your car's chunk sized carbon bit goes into any one of those channels or oil galleries, then it's the same as artery block in the human heart. When blood supply to cuts to brain, the person dies. Similarly, if the oil supply is blocked by carbon chunks, then it's the end of bearings. So Ideally this shouldn't happen touchwood. But if it happens you're looking at engine seizure or piston launched out of the engine block due to high pressure and friction. This is this risk which many people don't interpret very well making one faction say flush is bad while others say it's good. The truth is both claims are true. What determines the success of flushing is what condition your engine was in when it was flushed. If it's just thin oily carbon coat and not pasty varnish, then flush is safe, but if it's thick crusty bits of carbon, then only a open heart cleaning is safe. Of course it's costly because you would have to remove the engine, and mechanics charge a handsome amount for that but it's much much safer. Secondly, not all engine flush is the same. If you are a budget person who buys a no-name brand flush, it may have solvents so strong that your rubber seals that prevent oil leaks inside your engine will swell like rotten flesh and fail. Remember, solvents and rubbers don't mix. They break or damage rubber O-rings because rubber is organic. So only high-quality expensive flush brands like Liqui Moly/ Abro/ Lucas use solvents that are just strong enough to remove the carbon but not strong enough to damage rubber seals. Anything you use other than rubber-friendly flush as shown by some KZread Influencers will cause massive damage. I have seen some people use random things as flush on KZread. Like Diesel, petrol, Harpic, etc. Don't every be as dumb as those people. Fact: Engine flush is mainly a very well engineered kerosene. So the additives inside the flush is balanced very delicately and precisely to only work against carbon, soot, sludge but not the rubber or plastic or metal. Secondly, coming back to this video. The oil change process was good until the filter replacement. When you're lubricating the filter before installation, I saw you had applied the oil on every random spot of that filter. No that's not required, that whole part stays immersed inside a pressured oil bath once the engine is running. You only have to lubricate the rubber Oil seal. That's more than enough. The idea is to lubricate the seal and let it absorb the oil. This way it doesn't dry and crack causing oil leaks. So no need to lubricate the paper element, the plastic, and other bits. It's was funny a bit. lastly, if you want to avoid the sludge in the first place, use good quality synthetic oil. Oil is the cheapest insurance against engine failure. Even if company says 10000 km or 1 year, there is no harm in changing oil every 6 or 7000 km. Where I stay it's always dusty and air is full of pollutants, so I change my oil every 7000 km. Also if you often run your car for short distance each day, you should not wait a full year for oil change. Remember, when you use your car for short drives, engine won't heat up much and it's the same for oil. They don't reach optimal temperature to vaporize moisture trapped in the oil. This is why oil goes bad very soon. The proof is the water dripping from your tail pipe when you start in the morning. It's just the moisture exiting the engine. It's very normal, but usually it's also a form of contaminant that shouldn't be inside your engine. Which is why timely oil change is very very important.
