I’m finally at the skill level where this is applying to me. Your tip about not boosting while you make the air roll adjustment is really helping me reach the ball properly to get the reset. I just hit a couple in freeplay for the first time! Normally I’m critical of you but this was a good video man. Thanks!

This took me to the next level for sure. I didn't realize I was boosting during the air roll correction and that does totally throw you off
I was doing the hover method until this video. Always wondered why I couldn’t get it right even though my mechanics were good enough to start learning them. Thanks!
Gotta give credit! Been practicing these for a couple months, and the tip about how to come off the wall to go for the reset helped tremendously. Before I was coming off how you would for a normal air dribble and trying to rotate quickly which hardly ever worked, so coming off the wall backwards and hitting it that way almost immediately tripled the consistency. Thanks for this!
omg literally 1st try after seeing this vid i got the setup and the reset perfectly, tysm

considering you mentioned your rank, are you interested in freestyling or ranking up? cause if you're interested in ranking up, this is not the way.

Ground to air dribble is a much more effective thing to master than flip resets. Flip resets require a very specific set of events to occur. Ground to air just requires the ball to be rolling towards you. Of course you could also flip reset off a ground to air, but you're not going to be doing that without mastering the first.

Thanks for making this video this helped me so much like ithought I would never be able to hit a reset. Keep up the good work
Thx for teaching. I did all you told and it took me 30min to get my first flipreset ever and without a bounce 😊
I Love the fact that you found out people need to get more mechanical to be at the top and is now making mechanics guides to help them be consistant. If I was to ask you to make one it would be on the ceiling shot
Ty ❤❤❤❤I have reached my first flip reset it was insane appreciate it 💚💚💚
Thx the vid And now i know what wrong my reset Cuz my setup is good and i always got the reset only the finish go wrong, cuz i not enough fast in the air when i take a reset. Thanks for that its a big help of me
Bonus tip: when you connect with the ball, not only let go of boost but also let go of your accelaration button as well or even hit the brakes right when you get the reset

FFS. I'm D2 and flying upside down into each ball perfectly was harder than I thought. Thanks for ruining my confidence, Luke. 🤣🤣🤣 But, working on that & the rest. Terrific video, as always (!!!).
I have a question. On your air roll video, while you air roll in rings map, sometimes you turn your joystick left side (I have left air roll) and I wanna know what turning left the stick is for.
Bro thanks to your vid I just mastered flip resets the set up part really helped (current rank c1)

It’s kind of difficult because theirs very different topics for improving but also it is a much smaller population of people above gc so if he wants to get views, subs, and exposure it will work out much better if he focused on lower ranked like diamond and champ because most of the population stays there and they need the videos
honestly a lot of mechanics are somewhat easy to learn how to do when you get rid of all the flashy stuff you normally see, good video man

thank you for the tutorial finally learned to flip reset :)
Hey Luke, I think I’m close to hitting a flip reset, just wondering how do I carry the ball under my car without falling down? Do you have a video on that?
Finally getting the ability to pull these off on switch, thing that helped me the most was to just be aware of when you cut the boost, you actually need a lot less of it to fly up to the ball than you think and its just too easy to overshoot it because you thought you werent going fast enough

Use directional to flip flat and work out the rest of the control from there, youll get it
Thank you for all tutorials. I've been hard stuck dia And i ranked up to champion almost instantly. More i use mechs im worse
I do it a little differently by going upside down at the last second by air rolling is that less efficient or worse in some way? I don’t want to be doing it wrong the rest of my rocket league journey
You're editor is the GOAT
The fact I learned this in one day thanks and it helped
ok this tutorial actually helped me get the motion down wtf good video
Amazing
Sounds great, I cannot do airdrible yet, but if you can learn flip reset in 6minutes, why even bother to learn that first :D
Thank you so much
U helped me I can flip reset now
My main issue is that i only use the airroll button, not left or right. So i cant make the roll and spin at the same time. But also cba to spend agesss to relearn. I can normally get the rest, but struggle to spin my car back around to use/finish the shot
i have been getting these more consistently in freeplay, still waiting to get one in comp!
Yo ty i finally got my first flip reset!!!!
Hi Luke I learned to flip reset but the hardest part is to go over the vall after the reset to bang it can u help thx❤
Hi W vid
i find it easier to air roll just before to get the reset instead of slying upside down the whole time so should I skip that bit
I just accidentally hit a quad wavedash reset while listening to this, man really is the best coach.
I personally think that you should air roll through until you get to the reset part
this video is really everything you need to practice it.
I’m good and I can’t yet finish the goal but I can consistently do the reset so thanks
Just hit my first reset thanks
I did a flip reset by myself but I need this to help me😊
What rank level do u think u should be to try this bc I'm a plat and I know how to air dribble but I'm finding this a bit hard
Do you directional air roll or joystick air roll the adjustment
oommgg i did it❤❤❤❤😮😮😮
Instructions unclear, reseted my rank progression instead
Editing software?
Yeah I'm D3 and hve got no mechanics, starting to come up against ppl that can do this shit pretty regularly so I thought I'd try learn something, I'm still pretty hopeless lol
I can do the pro backwards aerial set, but when I come off the wall it feels so natural to air roll the wrong way like I would if I was doing an air dribble. I'm really struggling to break the habit. Any helpful tips?

I have the same issue. Someone mentioned slowing down the game speed in free play. Haven't had a chance to try it yet but I hear a lot of people mentioning it
You have to be upside down to flip reset?
Just a question how to add the hexagons on the wall ?
Does it have to be under the ball?
Okay I can hit the flip reset every time but can never hit the ball and score after how do you shoot it into the goal please make a video
I wish I could tell you that I practiced enough, and now I know how to do air roll as well as flip reset. What’s left of time for me on this Earth won’t be enough. I wish I had the right hands, fingers, and muscle memory to do them just for once. I guess I have to accept that I’m not that good and probably gonna quit Rocket League before even come close to do them. P.S. play Jacob and the Stone by Emile Mosseri in your head while reading my comment LOL :’)
A big tip for flip resets is to brake when land on the ball and you will be glued to it which makes it much easier to do.
Trying to find you on discord but for some reason I can’t. Any help?

Nobody ever tells u which way to flip ur car when u actually get the reset tho... Which way should I be holding left stick?
@blakemayo1605
Ай бұрын
If you fly upset down, flipping forward (left stick up) will make the car do a clockwise motion. I’m assuming you want speed and to hit it with the tip of the car to make it pop. Just an assumption
i know this isnt the right place or video for this right now but if you could jump into a lobby with me and two of the people i play with and go over our gameplay it would be good cause they think im bad, which im not great, but still, they dont know positioning, teamwork, and rotations. they play together more than i play with them so i just know its that they have good chemistry on how to read each other, but they have no actual game sense, they push and challenge when not needed and double commit sometimes, but they says its my fault if we lose because i miss the ball sometimes
Can you do one touch in the air first and then reset?
@mdlindsey
Жыл бұрын
Yes, that is the most common way. If you have a lot of space you can go for the reset immediately, otherwise getting a first touch will create the space you need to get the reset.
im diamond and i just hot a flip reset on my 3rd try it helps
*the plats in my lobby won't see this one coming haha*
literally me landing almost consistent resets after watching this 😳😳
Does anybody know anything about the dual sense edge controller acting strange? Like if you flip in a direction too quick, it flips a different direction you're pushing? But only when you jump then flip really quick. I dunno I can't figure it out and my muscle memory knows something's messed up
ik it doesn't matter but i like ur shirt/jacket thing
have you got any extra tips for keyboard users?

I am C3, and useful flip resets are pretty uncommon to see in ranked. Some air dribbles here and there. Game sense, positioning, rotation, shot placement, all the basic boring stuff is what Champs need, not high level mechs. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.

I was hoping for some tips on which direction to flip after gaining the reset based on some common setups... People make it look so easy but flipping upside down makes my brain hurt.
