Great! But I have a problem with my 930! Please help - after reflashing and fresh start Lumia on one of the initial screens wants to download the apps....it takes ages and nothing happened... Any clues?

Hi! If you mean the "Installing apps" part at the end of the OOBE (Initial set-up), then that's just installing the system apps and those which are provisioned in the Firmware of your device. Nothing gets downloaded, it's just a local installation. As for how much time it's gonna take, it varies on device hardware state, usually max 10 minutes.

Hi, can you help me fix this problem i have bought nokia lumia 1520 AT&T version and it's lcd screen started ghosting/ image retention and weirdly when it is on boot screen image retention does not happen and when it on windows logo and further it starts image retention and i think it is probably some software problem. please sir help me to fix this🙏

Hello! I'm sry that you are having issues, unfortunately 1520 is infamous for display issues due to a hardware issue. If you think it is software nonetheless, you can try this guide and re-flash your device, that should reinstall the software in your phone.

Greeting! I bought a Lumia 1020 with Denim software and if it says in extras + info that it is the Cyan version. That's not such a problem, however, what bothers me is that there is no Nokia pro camera application, only the regular one where I don't have any options for manual settings. Apparently the phone was reset and the Nokia pro (or Lumia camera) app disappeared. Since the store is no longer working, how can I get the Nokia Pro app again? Could I do this with WDRT, if it still works at all?

Hi! Let me divide my message to answer each your question; | Question regarding Extras & Info > Go to Settings --> About and click More information. > Check if "Software: Windows Phone 8.1 Update" & "OS version: 8.10.14XXX.XXX" If it is, then you already have Lumia Denim features installed. Why Extras & Info still showing Cyan then? Extras & Info is also still a local system app, this usually gets updated from Windows Store after a significant update to Windows. What happening here is just Extras & Info being outdated as Store is dead now, if you want it to show Lumia Denim, then you need to manually Uninstall & Deploy the latest app package from our repositories. | Question regarding Nokia pro camera (Or Nokia/Lumia camera as direct successors) Most Lumia 1020 Firmware packages were created to include most if not all Lumia imaging apps including Nokia/Lumia camera, so if your device has such firmware, doing a hard reset will bring them back (Settings --> About) but do take note that all the official services are dead in Windows Phone 8.1 including Microsoft account log-in and everything related to it (Though you can still set-up your device without Microsoft account fully offline after reset) If Hard reset didn't bring them back, then your firmware doesn't have those apps included in it. In that case, you need to re-flash your device, the official method is to just use Windows Device Recovery tool (WDRT) If WDRT is not functional for some reasons, you can also manually re-flash devices using various tools; Our guide to re-flashing: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l3V-qtmMZ8i5XZs.html Can't I just sideload the latest application without all this hard reset & Re-flashing? You can, but it's not that easy. Windows Phone 8.1 is a locked down OS, it doesn't allow application sideloading by default and restricted to only official solutions. To enable sideloading, you need to Jailbreak the device which needs the device bootloader to be unlocked and then patch the system files to activate Developer & Interop unlocks, then you can sideload any packages available in our repositories. Jailbreak and deploy the app or Re-flash the device? It's completely your call. If you need only the camera app, then you can try hard reset / Re-flash. If you need to sideload more apps, then you can jailbreak. (Was a quite long reply but I think I covered all, feel free to ask anything else)

I'll try a hard reset, if it doesn't work I'll try flashing, because I only care about the camera app, that's why I bought this phone again. I looked at this tutorial myself, it doesn't seem too difficult if it's done via WPI. I don't think it will work through WDRT because I read that that program doesn't work anymore because the servers are shut down? And yes, one more thing. When the phone is connected to the computer, does it have to be on or off? In the video I see that when flashing starts, the phone turns off, so I assume it must be on?

iirc there was a issue with WDRT lately though not sure if it got fixed like the last time as I almost never used WDRT. And yes, the phone needs to be ON and connected to PC.

Re-flash the phone using this guide or by using WDRT If that don't fix it, then it's a hardware fault

Hi, I have a Lumia 640 which was stuck in a boot loop to a blue screen. I then reflashed it with Windows Device Recovery Tool, but it said "failed" and now is stuck in flash mode (red screen with white arrows). I flashed it again using WPI. It said "successful" and the screen flashed green but it always reboots into the red flash screen with the white arrows. WDRT no longer recongizes it. How could I fix it? Many thanks

Hi! Where exactly you get this error? What exactly you were trying to do? (Unlock BL, Flash ffu?) If you are trying to flash FFU and got this error, then make sure the FFU you tried to flash is made for your device and is an official one.

Hi can you help me fix my problem So I updated my lumia 1020 to windows 10 using the tutorial I find on youtube and I want to downgrade it again to windows 8.1 (since it was laggy) when I was done flashing my lumia 1020 to windows 8.1 my phone was Unable to find a bootable option. Hi! Unfortunately this error is hard to pinpoint as it can happen due to both hardware or software failure. If the software is the issue here; you will need to flash the emergency playloads to your device while in EDL and then flash the device FFU. If it's a hardware fault, then it's not really fixable unless with a full mobo replacement.

to get out of this state: Open Windows Phone Internals & connect your device to PC. 1. Click "interrupt the boot sequence" 2. reboot the device and keep it connected 3. CLOSE wpinternals 4. open command prompt 5. cd c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Care Suite\Windows Device Recovery Tool 6. thor2 -mode rnd -boot_edmode 7. thor2 -mode emergency -hexfile -mbnfile 8. close command prompt 9. Use WDRT. Change the commands with the files for your device.

Hi! If the progress isn't red, it's normally safe to un-plug the device. You will need to re initiate the flashing process.

Hi! It ended to be that I hadn't unlocked the bootloader of my device and I ended up bricking it because I tried a Soft Reset ( normal reboot) but now I have a new one and am gonna try to install a custom rom on it tomorrow. Hi! This error can be due to several reasons, try; 1. Cleaning USB port of your device. 2. Using a different USB Cable (A confirmed working one) 3. Use a different USB Port in your PC / Use a different PC. If it's still not working, then sadly the device USB port is malfunctioned.

Simply use WDRT or this guide to flash the original Firmware, most probably the Firmware (FFU) is updated so your phone will get updated when flashing as well. But about SIM lock, contact the provider.

What we are flashing is described in the first sub-heading of the Introduction part. I suggest you re-watch it instead of skipping the most important part of any guide. If you meant Windows Hello (PIN, Iris Or Fingerprint), yes this will remove it. BUT, hard reset can also remove it. If you meant FRP (Factory Reset Protection), no, that will not get disabled if it's triggered.
