    The key in this video was "after you cleaned the burners, you're not done". Telling me to clean the gas jets fixed my issue and was gold since other videos didn't touch on this. A big thanks!

Unfortunately I spent 50.00 on a new regulator only the find out the problem continued. One good flame. The other two burners very low. I will try cleaning the jets. Im sure now thats the problem.

I shook all the crap out of the tubes but only shaking out the tubes and not cleaning the holes. I reassembled the grill and that didn't work. I was only getting about 300F. My grill had a tube in the rear that fed gas from the left burner to the others. it was half full of rust chunks. I cleaned that tube out, but the REAL secret is to fully pressurize the manifold BEFORE opening the burner valves. Wait about five seconds (after opening the tank valve) before you open any burner valves. Got her up to 520F yesterday!

  • @fenderstratguy

    @fenderstratguy

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@devbra5585 OK, if you follow the line from the gas tank to the front of the grill, it feeds into burner one. Then at the back of burner one, there is a tube across the back of the grill that feeds propane gas to all three burners. And that tube is known as the manifold.

  • @devbra5585

    @devbra5585

    Thank you okay yes i understand but why would pressurizing the manifold for a few second work ??? If the output of the cyclinder is fixed then why would opening the cylinder first before turning the burners on work ???

  • @GoldenOuroboros

    @GoldenOuroboros

    Жыл бұрын

    @@devbra5585 Don't know if you've worked this out, found this recently myself while doing a bit of research, apparently the regulator on the hose has a safety built into it. If it thinks there's a leak it'll limit the gas flow. If this is the case you'll need to disconnect the hose from the gas bottle and let it rest for 30 secs, that'll reset the valve in the regulator. Reattach turn on the bottle first, then your burners.

    Maintenance on any equipment should be done at least yearly if used occasionally. If it's used year around it should be done every 3 month at the most. Get to know you're equipment, it's an investment. If you don't take good care of it like car, it will not last. If you love to cook! You also need to not mind doing the cleaning too.
