Thank you for the video. That poster behind you in the garage looks exactly like the 64 convertible I bought 4 years ago, red white interior and top, KH wheels (which I hate). I have a master cylinder to replace on her and think I will upgrade to wilwood disc breaks on all 4 corners. My only complaint about 64, no disc brakes and no sequential turn signals. I'm fixing both this summer.

A better trick for handling the bulbs (instead of using needle nose pliers, is to use a piece of rubber/plastic tubing that fits snugly over the bulb. Cut a length of the tubing that will allow you to push it over bulb (while supporting the socket as shown in the video) and pull it out. Installation is just the reverse, insert the new bulb partially into the tube, support the socket and use the tube to put the new bulb into the socket.

Yeah the 64 ammeter takes full juice from the alternator. 65 and 66 have a safety shunt so I would think that a 65 and 66 ammeter in a 64 would be getting too much juice

Great video. Thanks for posting. My dash/gauge lights don't work on my '65...probably a fuse, but I should change the bulbs too. QUESTION: Do you know the approximate oil pressure when the needle is at the low end of the black line (at the hash mark)? I wanted to put a numerical gauge in, but the sending unit is pretty inaccessible because of the power steering pump. Since I was having the steering box replaced...and I also needed my steering pump replaced...I asked the mechanic doing the work to put in a numerical under-the-dash mounted unit...but he didn't do it (dang!) He thinks that my oil pressure is fine, but I don't know. After the car is warmed up, the oil pressure hovers below the low hash mark on the black line, but well above the "L" hash mark. Wish they put numbers on those things.

Answering your question….thats a tuff call. Numerical gauge would be a great option. Replacing the old oem would be my first step probably. Not too expensive, and maybe that fixes it.

Great video. Do you know of anyone that makes digital gauges for these? I have a 66 and I want to convert it to digital gauges.

Well, its easy to look down on sombodys work. If you are an idiot. Like a criminal, yes, politition and other scumbags. Okej. I wonder who is coming to get me after this remarks? Anybody?
