Help. For me it stats downloading and suddenly stops and again starts downloading it keeps repeating

I need help I bought the series x and anytime I go to download KZread or update and app it automatically says installation stopped my Internet works. I have the storage. I don’t know why it’s not working. I’ve tried everything in the books hard resetting it turning it off unplugging it letting it sit for a minute or two plugging it back up all of that and it won’t work.

I’ve tried everything and I mean everything from resetting my whole Xbox, changing DNS settings, deleting accounts, doing what was showed in the video and nothing. I’ve been trying to download Rainbow Six Siege for the past 3 days digitally and nothing has worked. It stops at 10.53 or 18% everytime. Please please please please help me?!!

If you own a disc it won't work

U can try this: Unplug the network cable if you’re using a wired network connection. * power off your console unplug the power cord to ensure you’re console is completely off. * Wait 30 seconds. * Plug the power cord back in. * Press and hold the BIND/PAIR button (the one used to sync controllers) and then press the Xbox button on console. * Continue holding the buttons for 15 seconds. * Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple seconds apart. Note: if you don’t hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this has failed. Likewise if you hear the “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed. * You can release the buttons after the second power-up tone. * The console should start showing the troubleshooting screen. * There choose “Restart this Xbox” and then “Keep games and apps”. I have it on disk and every time I try to do the step to go to the Microsoft it keeps trying to make me buy the actual game on digital but I have it on disk and it just won’t let me insult from the Microsoft and it gets to 10.49 GB and then it won’t go past that and I have no clue what to do the disk is completely cleaned I’m dead in the water hard restarting my Xbox I don’t know what else to do and by the way it’s Forza horizon four and I know it’s an older game but I haven’t played it in a while so I want to install it because I accidentally uninstalled it along time ago and just never reinstalled it

I would try unplugging from the internet.. installing the game. Then when its done reconnect to the internet and download the updates after the main game is done

I’m trying to install rdr2 by disc I can’t install it by the Microsoft store because it’s telling me to buy it

@@intensitymotion7944 No, I have a disc. I’ve been trying to redownload the game. But they said to search it up in the Microsoft Store after you take the disc out. I would, but it’s no longer available there.

We do have the disc but the digital version isn’t in the store anymore,

Ok so, I just bought The Amazing Spider-Man 2 disc. I pop it in and it gets stuck on 78.4%. I’ve looked at a few videos rn and the only thing I haven’t tried yet is restarting my Xbox with the disc in it and I got no idea what imma do if it doesn’t work.

My case was different cause the disc had like a small crack in the center ring so I had to trade it in for a new one, but some people were saying that their discs were taken care of, like clean and no damages. I’d just clean it again and soft reset the console or something cause the disc drive might just be acting sped

I put my Xbox one in offline mode and it fixed my problem with the download stopping when trying to download disc

I tried a bunch of different variations of all the fixes, here's EXACTLY what worked for me. Factory reset whole keeping the games and apps, fully set your Xbox back up, unplug your Xbox for 3min, unplug your controller and router as well. Plug it back in. Start the install, before it gives you the "installation stopped" message, uninstall it. Turn your console off one more time. Install the game, if it gets past 0%, let it update with the console off. If it didn't get past 0, try all that again. Took me four tries, it eventually worked. No idea how the fuck this works, no idea if it'll work for you, but it's better than nothing.

@@lucimorgenstern4443 bro like the fact that people been having this issue for years to me, it shows that Microsoft doesn’t give a shit about their players because I have heard countless people that literally still until this day for certain games can never figure out why their game cannot install or Pacific games can’t install and currently I’m having the issue. Well I’ve tried everything I just got done trying your steps nothing has worked. I don’t understand why and it’s Forza horizon four when it gets to 10.49 GB and will not go past that but the thing is it let me installed all the packs before it started installing the actual game, so it installed the packs but the actual game itself won’t install I’m dead in the water I have no clue what to do. I’m at this point I’m probably just gonna give up like I haven’t played the game in forever. That’s why I want to play it, but I don’t know what else to do.

@@michaelmartin1893 Yeah dude, sorry it didn't work, like I said no idea why mine did. You're just going to have to factory restart sadly 😞. A full restart means it'll remove your account and games from the Xbox, basically making it as if you literally just got it from the store. You'll keep all your saved data, like game progress, as long as you were connected to wifi last time you played. This is the only actual fix, and even then it might be stupid. I'd take it into GameStop if you have one near you, they still do troubleshooting and repairs, they could run diagnostics on your soft and reset whatever script keeps getting stuck. (I know I'm being an ass but it's specific not Pacific 💀)

@@michaelmartin1893 OH WAIT, you have a disc? Okayyy so it's likely an entirely different problem. This one is a bit lengthier to explain, but GameStop can fix this one no problem. I'll also suggest just giving up on discs. I know game pass ultimate seems expensive, but it's more than worth it. I can play every Forza game without even having to download it, I can play it from my phone too using game pass. Just get game pass ultimate. If you're a kid, and can't afford it, just tell your parents it means they'll never have to buy a game again. If you're an adult, and can't afford it, just start a budget man. I cut a few things out of my life (I cook myself food rather than buying microwave meals, ingredients are so much cheaper) so I could afford game pass.

Do you have a method for a game not downloading with the internet off? I’m trying to download the first update for Minecraft: Xbox One Edition (NOT BEDROCK EDITION) but it won’t work.
