Maybe, maybe not. Bad design would not last two years. Maybe the defrost cycle got interrupted by a power failure / glitch, and afterwards couldn't tell where things were. @@UTECHPIA

Welp- I did it. I'll have to be given a Whirlpool because I sure won't pay what I did for this again!! The door came off fine. The top drawer was magic, I wrestled that till I couldn't breathe. But it came off. The bottom was unreal too. There wasn't 1 drop of water anywhere. I took a cooking baster of hot water to the slot where you and others say is the drain hole. Several big squirts of good hot water. No way I can crawl my 75yr old fat self in to see but I did hear water flow. I also saw the fins coated in dust so I vacuumed that good. Getting the drawers back on. What I think of this built fridge and whirlpool, would make the movies SAW look like a Heckle and Jeckle cartoon. I had to youtube how to get the top drawer tabs off. Got it together, water all over the floor. Had to drain from under the fridge. ASSUME the water bowl is full or tube is out. No way I can fix that. Your video and help are great. No reason for this bad construction. I did turn off both top and bottom ice maker and there wasn't any water on the floor. The whirlpool I replaced was moved to the shed, it's some 18 years old and never a problem. You know what these expensive China junk buckets. Not again whirlpool!!!!

Never use a heat gun in your refrigerator. You can melt a hole in the plastic walls, etc. Use a steamer or maybe hair dryer! You can blow out drain with a steamer.

  • @UTECHPIA

True! However, when used with caution, you can use a heatgun; it's just a lot easier to mess up and burn a hole.
