had the same problem if you have a ps/2 interface on your pc than you can use that with a ps2 compatible keyboard and fix the usb problem while using the ps2 keyboard. i was lucky enough to have one...

Happy that this vid is silent! but a TIP for anyone making this type of video - stop waving the mouse cursor around and swiping it back+forth across the item whose name you're obscuring before you shift to another screen leaving us having to freeze frame to try to see what you're pointing at. It doesn't help to wave the mouse around or use that stupid puffball effect on the cursor either. Keep it steady and pause whilst viewers take in what you're doing.

Impossible to do without a PS2 port for mouse and keyboard! Today's computers have USB ports only. ! How about an addendum to fix that all USB computer ports.?.?..? I just ended up installing a new hard drive and put it in fresh copy of Windows 10. Now I'm transferring the few programs I had on my C drive back onto my computer.

I have a Peugeot 207 and it is only picking up 2 of the discs on my USB stick. They all play in other vehicles.

For me i followed what you said, but changed driver to (standard pci to usb host controller) then plugged in usb then it installed and worked.

im not using usb but a phone cable to access the phone but your method helped me to find some device up there espescailly for the phone i think it installed from previous times !! its not about the usb but you helped! thanks.

If you've watched lots of these videos but still can't get you're USB Card Reader working I have one more suggestion. I went to my motherboard manufacturer's website (ASUS for me) and downloaded the lastest chipset drivers for my model. Bingo. I finally got it working again. It seems to be a Windows Update that caused the problem. Hopefully your manufacturer has an updated driver too.

This worked. I lost my mouse, keyboard and all of my usb ports after installing a piece of 'safe' software. I used remote desktop to get into my computer so I could fix it (just a tip). Also, this is a good approach because it reinstalls your old drivers, the ones that work with your pc.

i dead ass downloaded epic games store...then poof right after 4 of my usb ports went out...Thank You!! It Worked..God Bless

It's work on Windows 10. I can't install driver's for USB Pendrive. (Access Denied) Then i tried to delete a lot of USB Device from Device Manager. Restarted the PC, and it works now. Thanks for help!

I am so glad you fixed my problem. This was my first time on your channel and now I am your subscriber😊😊😊😊😊

Now i'm no computer expert but both my USB ports seem to stop working both at the same time, i tried the other port on the opposite side of the keyboard and that one was working so the device i plugged in was ok. I was using a USB that i could connect my headphones into as the original hole had a bit of old broken connector in there. I tried doing different things to my computer like logging off, even turning it off without logging off first to see if it would reset it, nothing seemed to work, this went on for a couple of weeks but the odd thing was that the USB connection worked ok when i plugged my printer into it, it just wasn't working with the headphones. At one point i ordered a new USB connector but that didn't work either. I tried following this video but only got part of the way through it as it was slightly different to what my computer was showing, but part of the way through it said my ports were ok and couldn't seem to reset anything. But then all of a sudden something happened, i turned my computer on and the screen was blank so i pressed down the off button to turn the computer off then pressed it again to turn it back on, it then said resuming windows in 30 seconds which has happened many times before but i had a message come on the screen saying something like recovery please wait with the blue bar going from left to right across the screen, this took a few minutes, it was as though it had to mend the files or recover the files, whatever it was it worked and the USB ports was working again but i would like to know is there some way i can make the computer does this recovery or whatever whenever i want and not have to wait for the computer to do it for me? and when i say recover i don't mean retrieve things i've deleted in the past, i mean like get the computer to sort of correct the files or whatever it did. I've looked for videos but havn't found what i'm looking for. Thanks
