Thank you so much. I encountered an error while trying to install Lineage OS 18.1 on my Motorola Moto G5. Your video steered me in the right direction to fix the problem. The error message I was getting was telling me that Lineage OS installation needed original Android 8,1 firmware to be installed. I looked in the update-script file and found this error message associated with an assert statement checking for a specific baseband version. I deleted this specific assert statement, re-zipped, and then install was successful after doing that.

@@eterna1379 some old ones like r7sf, but it also hard as hell. (Rom for them is ultra limited, and if it has one, nothing will work , wifi,etc) U can unlock, but most twrp are ported(cuz most Oppo impossible and literally no official twrp) so error 7 usually will happen on most unofficial

did you unzip recovery rom or fastboot?

error 1 is unable to use the external sd card to flash. Move the zip to internal storage. it worked for me
