How to FIX The Install Pending Android TV Bug - Play Store App Stuck at Installing

In this tutorial, we FIX the "install pending" bug on Andoid TV devices, like a SONY, Philips, Sharp, TCL TV, or the Nvidia Shield TV, Xiaomi Mi TV, TiVo TV Boxes. Apps May Stuck At Installing when you get this "installs pending" message and therefore you cannot install any applications and games.
This is an issue with the Google Play Store and Google Play Services cache memory and the fix is really easy. But of course, if you do not know how to resolve it you stuck with older versions of apps since they will not update and you will not be able to install new apps and games on your Android TV.

    So, i had to do this on my old android phone. The steps to do this were a bit different, but i figured it out, and it worked. It was the pending update of multiple apps that kept preventing me from app installation. Thank you. This has been driving me nuts for over a week.

    It did not work on my Sony KD55A8 with 2021 latest firmware. The issue started with the 2021 firmware... Do you have updates :)

    hi. I have an android tv that shows this message: "Tip. To improve the quality of the image, the system will optimize the screen for you soon.     I just bought an HK1 Box from Amazon. I can't download or update any apps from the Google Play Store. There is no Force Stop for the Play Store app or Google Play Services. I wasn't able to to force update Google Play Store by clicking on the version number. I was able to update from APK Pure, which was included by the box maker. While in there, I also noted that the box wasn't certified for Play Protect. Cleared cache, data, Force Stop on Google Services Framework (was available for that item) I am doing a factory reset and If that doesn't work, it is going back. I saw many complaints about not being able to download/update apps from Google Play for different boxes in Amazon reviews. I just assumed that they didn't know what they were doing. It is probably something to do with not being certified for Play Protect.

    I've followed these steps several times but I'm stuck with about 20kb data in Google Services Framework, I can't get it to zero. Still can't update my apps. Any ideas?

    I tried this, unfortunately my tv decide to keep bugging, i tried downloading apps, one app stopped at 71% the other at 23%, an update stopped at 99%, another update decide to not even start. Do i need to factory reset it?

    Thanks. I remember having these issues on my android phones over the years so I knew it had something to do with the cache but wasnt sure which apps. I got an error retrieving data error on the play store after doing this but I restarted my tv and it worked fine. Now my apps are all installing. Cheers

    It means that your device is full, there is no free space. Try deleting unused files and removing apps that you do not use and then try again

    @@techismypassion I checked my internal storage which shows I've used 2.0GB in apps, 233MB in cached data and 18MB in misc, however it then says I only have 601MB available even though I should have about 6GB available based on those numbers. I don't have many apps downloaded and have only had the TV for around 2 months. Do you think I should try a factory reset?
