Well, my laptop is still going through “verification” scanning and it's taking forever. These steps were so simple, so concise, and I was able to follow along without an issue

IT WORKS!!! THANK YOU!!!! My computer went from Windows7 to Windows 10 when the 7 support stopped. It became un usably slow till it ran for about 10-15 minutes. It's still lags a little bit, but nothing like before. I kept this old machine to run the programs on it. Now I can again!

I would click on an app and had to wait about 30 seconds for it to open. After doing what you suggested, there is now no more lag time. I subscribed and liked. Keep up the good work. The windows update troubleshooter worked for me. I've never had an issue like this with an update before, but last time I updated my performance took an absolute dump. Chrome and other programs were loading for ages, and it had nothing to do with my connection.

Hi @EasyTechGeek The other night I turned off my HP laptop properly (windows 10) when I turned it back on the next day it was super slow and is even that way now. Takes 40-45 minutes to get to log in screen and apps and programs take forever to open or in some cases don't even want to run . Please assist me .

Update: A lot of things are running quicker, but I think I narrowed the problem down to specifically the GPU. I tried to launch Yakuza 0, which I can normally run just fine with no issues. It would get past the black screen that comes after the initial splash screen. When I went to task manager to end task, the GPU usage said 100%, whereas it's usually around 10%. I am trying anything I can to redo the driver update or maybe roll back to the old drivers, but I have no idea how.

@@jvoncoad1306 What I wound up doing was I had to head over to the Dell website and go to the drivers and downloads page. I searched for my laptop model, and it turned out that I need around 20+ critical updates that Windows Update _and_ the Dell Support Assist app failed to get for me. So, depending on the company that made your PC, you might want to check their website for any missing drivers. My main issues were the drivers for the BIOS, CPU, and additional GPU drivers.

Contrary to what lots say: my pc got kinda faster and more responsive hell I even got a few fps to games after installing windows 11, not sure if it’s just me or the recent update fixed it.

I wouldn't recommend installing Windows 11 to anyone, it's just the re-skinned version of W10, plus some modifications to make your life more complicated & annoying. W11 is literally the worse OS in the history of OS. I uninstalled pre-installed W11 OS form my new device & installed Windows 10...
