THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART AND SOUL. i’ve had this issue with my macbook from the jump about a year and a half ago. i’ve tried getting this issue fixed at the genius bar and even there they were no help. you seriously don’t even realize how much this helped, last semester i used youtube a lot for some of my classes which were online (the professors would upload their lectures here) and it was so hard for me to copy notes when the screen was constantly flickering. and it was so annoying trying to watch livestreams on youtube because my screen flickered even more on livestreams. thank you so much, this fixed it immediately.

OMG!!! Thank you! I just searched the whole internet to fix this problem....I just bought new cables... installed new drivers and spent nearly a month to fix this... I was ready to buy a new monitor when i decided to check for the last time on youtube, maybe i missed one of the videos.... I am so glad i did and i found your video. You're a hero, I'll never understand why there is so much to do when setting up a PC to get it to work properly, so many hidden counter-intuitive settings

This helped with flickering on Amazon Prime and Netflix! Thank you so much, I was giving up hope and this simple fix was all that was needed!

Same here, have a brand-new, premium Lenovo Legion laptop since August 2023 and first noticed that stuff back then that was happening from time to time and at first thought it is some GPU issues. Havent noticed it on desktop apps as far as I am aware.

This fixed the issue for me when watching videos on KZread or Twitter. Thank you so much, screen flickering on Chrome has been a huge issue for me since I replaced my old, broken hardware and I was SO SCARED it was a hardware issue. Thank God it wasn't.

Getting the issue too. It’s only Chrome and only on youtube. Didn’t update GPU drivers recently so idk what caused it. The solution in this video works but I’m scared it’s GPU related. I downgraded my NVIDIA drivers and so far, I haven’t seen it even with Hardware Acceleration turned on in Chrome.

Wow, fixed immediately. Thank you! I just messed with my Nvidia control panel and this flickering started happening. I was spending forever trying to sift through my Nvidia settings thinking I messed something up there. Weird that this is even an issue.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this fix. I've had this issue for 6 months now and I've noticed it in the new windows 11 update and from then on I thought it was something wrong with my laptop. I had tried everything including consulting the repair shop, and they were all as clueless as me. If only I had seen This video sooner, I would have avoided 6 months of anguish and brain damage. OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH IT WORKED!!!! A TUTORIAL THAT ACTUALLY WORKS!! I'm not actually having the same problem as you had but it was very similar, the everytime my cursor hovered over the video it either went REALLY DARK or just straight black and of course it was the full screen that flickered when it was in full screen.

Life saver. Netflix player started flickering, I tried to fix it but couldn't so I gave up and went to KZread, but it started flickering too. It finally stopped now. Thank you.

I am so happy that i found this video, have same problem with KZread and when i come home i will do what u have done. I bought monitor about 20 days ago and i was thinking that monitor is bad. U saved me, i lost my nerves with is KZread flickering. THX A LOT!!

It was happening on Brave, but not on Firefox so I knew it was a browser issue. But I never would have guessed this was the fix. I almost didnt finish watching your video because when you got to the part about the hardware accelerator setting I figured mine was a shoe in since it was already on. But then I listened for just a few more seconds and voila, the most counterintuitive solution; to turn it off. But why? Who knows, but it works!

Works like charm! Thanks very much I noticed the problem was on the browser and not my screen hardware when I screenshotted the flickered screen and pasted it on Paint but on Paint it appeared normal. That discovery helpred me narrows down the problem and found your solution!

I switched from waterfox to brave because waterfox wasnt opening. As soon as I switched to brave, this issue happend and I knew it was an issue of brave cuz it wasnt happening on waterfox. Thanks man!
