Have watched 1000s of KZread car fix videos & read 1000s more threads over the years... Honestly this is so spot on & a credit to the channel director. If anybody has an issue with the pump leaking but the wiper arm is working fine and wants a slightly easier / quicker solution that doesn't involve completely stripping down the motor gear assembly, today I fixed mine leaking (after removing blockages in 3 separate places caused by the rust buildup - the non return valve, the bend of the hose inlet going into the gear assembly, and the nozzle on the exterior) by removing the metal gear assembly cover, using a wipe with some WD-40 to get as much of the rust out as I could without taking it apart then wiping it dry, reapplying grease (I used a multi-purpose lithium based one - make sure you use something that isn't going to wreck the plastic gears), then I wrapped the tube that sticks out of the center of one of the gear arms in PTFE tape (the tube that goes out to the exterior of the car) so that when you put the assembly cover with the washer L bend on it back on to the gear assembly the PTFE jams the tube into the hole of the L bend and causes a seal. The reason mine and most will leak is because of the ridiculous water seal made between the gear arm and gasket on the top of the L bend in the assembly cover - this cannot keep a seal if the surface of the gear arm is ruined with rust. and so any amount of cleaning can still result in a leak here. Why they would have designed it so that the wiper fluid goes through the gear assembly and depends on a water seal between two moving parts I can only put down to engineering arrogance - what a dumb design!

Hi Regis! I'm having the same issue. Had disassemble everything, clean it and reassemble it back. But now the wiper doesn't stop at the right position anymore. Each time I run it stops on a different position. Do you know how do I fix this?

Did the whole process but replacing the motor to another one from same model and functional. Seems like the computer is not recognizing the replacement motor and the pump is not starting either. Any fix? Restarting the computer or anything? Cheers

Dont know when they are going to replace this crap design i had it leaking on e36

Video is good but main problem is (seal 6/17/6 and condition shaft ) Video show to put red silicon! My shaft was partishali destroyed from water. I repaired shaft with metal plastic glue. Seal is need to be removed and checked - inside is spring - better replaced with new. Seal is in white part outside - water connection inlet -remove carefully! I hope my comment will help for normal repair.

wiper is working , but I dont get washer to back window , any ideas where to look whats wrong?
