Thank you! I was trying to fix my sons PS5 for about an hour and I could not work out what was wrong. Your video fixed it. One thing I would advise people with a PS5 is to turn off Rest Mode or Power Saving Mode. It causes a lot of crashes.

Thanks Man! What worked for me was unplugging EVERYTHING (Every wire into the PS5 & TV) let it rest for 5 minutes and then plug it all back in and it worked as normal 👍🏼

worked on ps4

My man got his 10th of februari. He hade ps4 before, and should only have to plug in The new cables, where the old ones sat. But it didn't work. He called Sony psp support, but they couldent help. Help pls! yesterday i conect my sound bar to my TV, and everything was ok, my ps5 running on 4k hdr in the TV HDMI. Today when i turn on my ps5 the HDMI isnt working, it show the no signal. i did everything on the video and nothing, is like its trying to connect but nothing show up. I change the hdmi port, but the other 2 doesnt hace enhanced mode, so it reproduce in 1080p and hdr. What can i do????

Bro, i had an issue connect to my full hd tv even to access safe mode not working, but when tried to pc monitor it's works.. Do you think i need to reset the ps5?

Tried for hours to get ps5 to run through my Dennon amp with no luck then found your (this) video and managed to fix it by changing the resolution in the safe mode menu. Thanks very much!

I have the ps5 slim my question is when I start a movie the screen flickers for a second and Says no signal then the ps5 picture comes back on it does the same thing as like when I am in the ps5 settings when I click out of it the screen flickers for one second saying no signal but after that split second the ps5 picture shows. Have you ever heard this happening before I have the 65 inch vizio v series I have tried all the settings possible on the ps5. I can't turn off the HDCP because when I do the ps5 says it needs to be on to watch movies.

Going through this on my son's PS5. I unplugged for a while and then plugged back in and held the power button down. Once I get the 2nd beep I release the power button, and all it does is keep the PS5 lights on for a few more seconds, then lights go off and it acts just like holding the power button down powers it off. Am I missing something? I assume that if the power stays on that the lights will remain on, but I think holding the power button down on mine is just powering it on then off. Thoughts?

Okay...so when my PS5 is plugged in, it reads as SD. When my brother’s is plugged into my TV, reads as HDR UHD. I still have a black screen and won’t even let me get to the second beep menu. Cant change tv resolution either. I’m BIG stuck.

probably hardware issue but try reinstalling firmware anyways. its under warranty so don't open it, www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps5/

Disable hdcp in system settings. If u have black screen chsnge resolution to 1080p in vdoe settings then go to system settings turn off hdcp

Thanks for the info. Looks like I have have a messed up HDMI port on my PS5. Cord doesn't fit snugly. I contacted the support via chat who referred me to the 800 number. All I get there is -- Due to high volume we are unable to accept your call. Know of any other way to contact Sony for service?

Thanks for your help. I thought my PlayStation 5 stopped working. But, it turns out that I have to change the resolution settings because of my tv. In my opinion, the HDMI cable is not an issue is just the tv you have to find out what tv you have. Because every flat screen tv has a hdmi cable and you have to choose the correct resolution in order for it to work. For your own tv. I just figured it out. Also, there’s 4 options or choose the resolution. 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and 2160p high def. Now I know how to do this. Again, thanks for your help. 👍🖥🖥🎮🎮.

If you don't have a 4k tv then wait till next year when ps5 will be slimmer and cheaper because it's just like a PS4 without a 4k tv.

On ps5 menu Setings System Hdmi 2 options 1st one = to auto hdmi to other devices = put option off Hdcp = stays on Other = placed a fast 2.1 new hdmi cabel then put option again on on . Working good now.

You forgot to mention that you can also switch the HDMI port on the TV, that's what worked for me
